Washington D.C. - from the Old Post Office observation deck and more

this summer i went to Virginia for my girlfriend's cousin's wedding and figured that if i was in the area, i might as well visit D.C. so we went for about a day and a half. here's the pics.

Great pics. Saw a lot of angles of DC from above that I haven't really seen before.

I wasn't aware that there was a steep hill in the distance of the Capitol, for instance.

The US capital looks really amazing... hasn't got tall buildings but who cares? The city's pretty beautiful!

The observation deck views are not great but street scenes #2, 52 and 78 are fine!

it's free. there was no line when we got there, but then a tour group came in and it got crowded.

Amazing photos. I love how the buildings are all around a uniform height - it makes the city seem quite European and civilised.
