How is air conditioning an entire stadium environmentally friendly?

Also, with Australia in the Southern Hemisphere, it will be winter (temperate climates) or the dry season (tropical).

Australia’s World Cup bid is a good one

Football Federation Australia have received some positive news just a few weeks out from the World Cup 2022 announcement.

Australia’s bid has been well-received by the sport’s governing body, FIFA, who have highlighted the country’s record of holding international events, its security, transport infrastructure and venues as major pluses.

One of the down under nation’s major rivals for the 2022 tournament, Qatar, was slammed because of oppressive heat and the fact that there is just one airport and 10 if its 12 stadiums are within 25 kilometres of each other, making for a logistical nightmare.

The announcement of the hosting rights for both the 2018 and 2022 World Cups will be made in Zurich on December 2.

I'm really getting sick of the trolling going on in ever single World Cup bid, I think they should all be locked until December One.

Maybe thats a good idea, as it just goes round is circles and becomes a game of mud slinging.

Nationalism always gets in the way of the truth afterall to some

hmmm, interesting outcome.

I'm assuming Adamu is already crying for his lawyer (given statements from him leading up to today)?

Fifa Decision On World Cup Corruption Claims

10:12am UK, Thursday November 18, 2010
Richard Williams, Sky News Online
Fifa has cleared an executive member accused of asking for money in exchange for World Cup votes - but suspended him for a year.
Tahiti's Reynald Temarii's lawyer revealed the news. He and Nigeria's Amos Adamu had already been suspended after an undercover Sunday Times investigation.
It follows a three-day hearing of the world football governing body's ethics committee.

The committee will also confirm the outcome of its investigation into claims 2018 World Cup joint-bidders Spain/Portugal and 2022 bidders Qatar colluded to trade votes. In terms of the corruption probe, Mr Adamu's position appears to be in greater danger because it is claimed he asked for money for projects to be paid via a family company.
Mr Temarii - who represents Oceania - has insisted he was merely wanting to boost football facilities in New Zealand and was not seeking any personal gain.

The claims follow a Sunday Times investigation. Both men have denied any wrongdoing. Should the ethics committee decide on any longer suspensions, the members would be prevented from voting on the 2018 and 2022 hosts on December 2.

Mr Adamu's seat on the executive committee is up for election in February. He represents the West African Football Union.
The ethics committee will also rule on four former executive members who are still Fifa officials - Slim Aloulou, Amadu Diakite, Ahongalu Fusimalohi and Ismael Bhamjee. The men have also been suspended following The Sunday Times probe, which it has been claimed has damaged England's bid for the 2018 competition.

Spain, Portugal and Qatar are confident they will escape any action for the alleged collusion as it is believed no evidence of any agreement has come to light.

Forgot to mention, This means:

Qatar loses 1 CAF vote.
Australia loses 1 Oceania vote.

USA is benefiting from this. (Personally like either Qatar or Australia to get 2022, not US)

Amos Adamu banned for three years by Fifa after corruption hearing
Reynald Temarii banned for one year
Adamu will appeal against decision
No action over allegations against Spain/Portugal and Qatar

However, a further claim from the British newspaper The Sunday Times that some bidding countries were guilty of collusion before the Dec. 2 vote in Zurich was dismissed by the sport's governing body.

what about the trading deal between USA - England to Withdraw England from 2022 and USA from 2018 in favor of some and exchange votes
