Qatar shouldnt host it because of temperature.-I know what 47 degrees feels like as we had it in australia once in the absolute middle of summer, it is horrible. Qatari's can rebut that by talking about the air conditioned stadiums but the major fact is that you arent allowed to spend days in a stadium as well as that, when tourists want to go exploring doha, they cant and the whole of qatar cannot be air conditioned.

They shouldnt host it because the nation is way too small. in ALL other world cup bids the whole of qatar would be put forward as one city but this one is 12 cities. also doesn't anyone find it outrageous they are putting a 45,000 seat stadium (temporary or not, i dont care) in a town that has a population of 8,000.

I dont mind if australia doesnt get the hosting and USA, Korea or Japan does but it is absolutely rediculous to give it to qatar, hopefully the exco will look over the caviar given to them by their bid team and not make it a world cup FIFA will regret.

P.S. qatar son333 and waqif, stop getting so freaking cocky, it looks bad, when u loose u will feel like an idiot and we will probably never hear from you again. 7 days untill good riddance.
No need to get so harsh, i remember the same stuff said during Doha 2016 bid, guess what I AM STILL HERE you sound like a [email protected](!$t

Your facts are WRONG regarding number of cities and population.

Al-Shamal = 7,975 max

Number of city in bid book-3(10 x Doha +2 others)
Number of cities after awarded-1(10 x Doha)

Australia is hoping its "no worries" attitude, experience in hosting major sporting events and proximity to Asia's economic powerhouses will help it to bring the World Cup finals "Down Under" for the first time in 2022.

Much will depend on regional loyalties, of course, but the Australians are convinced they have a bid that should come out ahead of Japan, South Korea, the United States and Qatar when the vote takes place on December 2.

"Our full government guarantees mean we really will be a 'no worries', friendly and safe option for FIFA and the football fans of the world," Football Federation Australia (FFA) chief executive Ben Buckley said last week.

"We think that when FIFA pairs the excellent bid proposal with the unparalleled opportunity we offer as a bridge between Asia and Oceania, we offer a compelling case for FIFA to take the World Cup to the only continent that has never hosted it."

Australia has hosted some of the most successful major sporting events of recent years, from the 2000 Sydney Olympics to the Rugby World Cup of 2003 and the Melbourne Commonwealth Games of 2006.

Are you questioning information assessed by FIFA ? I didnt make that up you know, besides there was a census recently this year. Not to mention population will change by 2022.

Because FIFA are so honest & squeaky clean.

Anyways, take this argument back to the Doha thread. This one is about Australia's bid.

David Beckham believes Australia could easily host 2022 World Cup

Although Beckham is currently pre-occupied with England's bid to host the event in 2018, the Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder is confident the tournament four years later would be a success if it went to Australia for the first time.

Speaking after landing in Sydney ahead of the Galaxy's friendly with the Newcastle Jets at on Saturday night, he said: 'I've only thought about our (England's) bid for 2018, that's something that we're working hard towards, something that we're very proud to be in the running to get it.

Obviously the US is up for it as well. 'Both countries could host a huge competition like the World Cup. 'It's the biggest sporting event in the world something every country wants to host but who gets it, we'll see.'

Sheer idiocy. How thick are you to think that we are 'living on past glory's"?

Shows how much attention should be paid to your posts - none. [/sarcasm detection fail?]
