BOSTON | Russia Wharf | 395ft | 120m | 30 fl | Com

Surprised there isn't a thread for this already. Actually it has recently changed its name to Atlantic Wharf.

Rendering on the CBT architects' website.

From today

This is a nice addition. Boston Financial district needs more glassy towers.

Nowhere near being a nice addition. And what's going on with this name? Housing some vodka destillery?

Well from the fifth picture taken by OP, it looks far better than the one on the far left which has those wierd sides and the red one on the far right with countless windows. It also looks better than the black tower in the background which has a narrower box on top. Unlike the beautiful churches and rowhouses, many of Boston's high rise buildings in this area are just meh. The thing is, they don't seem in high quality. Even the boxes don't look slick and polished. This one is a step up in my opinion.

Sadly, most of Boston highrises totally suck, except for the historical ones (such as Custom House Tower, what a masterpiece).

When an architect promotes a building with just a rendering at night, the design usually sucks. That's also the problem with this building.

That usually is the case, but not for this building I think. You could just expect the same result. The rendering was no blender at all and already sucked.

The warehouses it is being built above were used for ships trading with Russia I would imagine.

Not bad!
It reminds me Norfin Tower in Lisbon, Portugal.
