Matt., there's something about this metality of do-it-for-doing-sake rather than just doing it for the better in Nigeria.

For comparison, this is the HQ of America's central bank, the Federal Reserve:

And this is the Federal Reserve building in New York City, America's commercial capital:

For the last time the Central bank cannot start building the tallest building on the block
That is left for the Commercial and investment banks to do

The central bank like someone mentioned is supposed to be conservative
Most central bank buildings world over are small functional buildings

This idea of criticizing everything just to hear yourself talk is getting rather old. . .
Perhaps mr Matt can dig up the central bank building of germany and show us what it looks like. . .

Yes, this is what I was trying to get across with these boring (maybe ugly) American buildings.

I can see why things remain what they are in your country.I thought scolding the wise will make them wiser. Maybe, maybe I said, Nigerians don't see things in different angles.

Wow! that Central bank Building is way gonna be better than all buildings in America(ironically speaking).

We all need to look at Dubai and there debt crisis to see where flash gets you!
Nobody is talking about flashy project but a project that will contribute to a change in a city skyline. It's thought that Central Bank being a bank for banks could come up with an impression for others to build on.

I think the crappy area near the construction site needs to be cleaned up,though.

I don't see the matter of trying to compare things in America here, in somebody's post, that only proves stupidity rather than better argument.

Who are you talking to? And you need to rephrase this post; it makes no sense.

But really, some of you have been here long enough to know who and what to ignore.

You can see the Site in the Background. The Site in the foreground is where the new BOI Building will be built.

What's the level of construction now,Tbite? I really like that section of the city to have taller glitz looking buildings as per the Central Bank of Nigeria being among them. National Banks usually have corporate buildings distinguished by their size and design. That's what I was expecting at the initial time.Nonetheless, this one is just okay for a Nigeria.

That's an interesting video you have there. It gives me a different views to Nigeria from the way I used to perceive things. One thing is that the Julius Berger seems to be the only capable construction company in Nigeria and it performs most of the construction works in Lagos and Abuja.

Nice to see the other side of things in Nigeria. I would like to recommend this video to a friend who is planning to work in Nigeria.

Most capable. There are hundreds of major construction works undertaken by other capable companies across the country.
I always knew your perception of Nigeria was slightly skewed.

financial banks an businesses will be moving their headquarters to Eko Atlantic in the next couple of years....so i dont think this building will be the central bank of Nigeria for long.
