Any updates, now that Suzhou centre line is approaching completion?

Also, besides the terminus Huaqiao Station, which of the stations beyond Anting in Shanghai (namely Zhaofeng Road and Guangming Road) are in Suzhou?

AFAIK both Zhaofeng Rd and Guangming Rd will be in Suzhou. I remember Anting, current terminus of line 11, is already very very close to the Shanghai/Jiangsu border.

Looks like the Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Shenzhen metros which I think is a good thing because they are pretty damn good subway systems. They were smart to make island stations underground. A few times in Guangzhou I missed my stop and it was easy to go across the station and get on the other train.

Exactly, but some metro systems authorities when planing new lines/extensions still dont get that point. They keep building side platforms.

It's a pretty minor point. How often do people miss their stops?

Because of the tracks themselves being closed off, any idea as to how easy might it be hearing the arrival of your train from the ticket hall or even the station entrances?

Riddle me this:

How do you know if the train arriving is your train? Can you tell by the sound if it's westbound or eastbound?

Thanks.

No spider has any ear plus none of the tyres to Montreal's trains quakes the ground ...

The pitch of the train motors coupled to my memory of whereabouts along the nine-car platform I'm descending onto makes sussing out which train must be arriving possible at most stations. The few tricky stops are where either the accesses are mid-platform or the accoustics to the vaulted shaft echo funny.
