Look at this photo! It shows the remains of Victoria Hall after it was destroyed by a german mine dropped on a parachute in 1941:

Here it is from another angle:



Early photographs and paintings of victoria hall at the time of the 1883 disaster do not show the large spire on the southern end of the building, so presumably it was added after this date - anyone know anything about this?

I can't remember seeing this photo before mate, ---the photo shows the destruction and devastation the Germans caused in Sunderland and the rest of the Country.
