गुड़गांव। सिटी बस सेवा के बेड़े में रविवार को 20 नई बसें शामिल की गई हैं। बसें जल्द ही रूटों पर दौड़ती नजर आएंगी। रोडवेज के अधिकारियों के मुताबिक इस महीने के अंत तक तीन नए रूटों पर सेवा शुरू कर दी जाएंगी। अब कुल दस रूटों पर सेवा की शुरुआत हो जाएगी। गौरतलब है कि 12 मई से शहर की सड़कों पर सिटी बस सेवा की शुरुआत हुई। अभी तक सेवा को खूब रिस्पांस मिल रहा है। यही कारण है कि विभिन्न रूटों पर सिटी सेवा आरंभ करने के रोडवेज विभाग के पास प्रतिदिन ढेरों मांग पत्र आ रहे हैं।
विभाग के जीएम यशेंद्र सिंह ने बताया कि कि तकरीबन आधे शहर को सेवा से जोड़ा जा चुका है। चरणबद्ध तरीके से पूरे शहर को सिटी सेवा से जोड़ा जाएगा। फिलहाल शहर के पॉश एरिया डीएलएफ को कवर करने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है। तीसरे चरण में पुराने शहर की बजाय डीएलएफ पर अधिक फोकस किया जाएगा। पुराने शहर में लगभग सभी रूट कवर कर लिए गए हैं। फिलहाल रूट तय नहीं हैं। लोगों से सुझाव मांगे थे और विभाग ने भी सर्वे कराया था। माह के अंत तक रूटों पर मुहर लगाकर सेवा शुरू कर दी जाएगी। क्या है स्थिति फिलहाल डीएलएफ में दो रूटों को ही कवर किया गया है। इनमें बस स्टैंड से केंद्रीय विहार तथा बादशाहपुर से हुडा सिटी सेंटर मेट्रो स्टेशन रूट शामिल हैं। अभी भी डीएलएफ के अधिकांश हिस्से में सिटी बस नहीं पहुंच रही है। डीएलएफ के साथ कुछ हुडा के सेक्टर और दूसरे बिल्डरों की ओर से बनाई गई कॉलोनियां भी जो सिटी सेवा शुरू होने की बाट जोह रही हैं। एक रूट तय दो पर कशमकश तीसरे चरण की सेवा शुरू कराने के लिए विभाग ने एक रूट तय कर लिया है, जबकि दो रूटों पर कशमकश जारी है। बताया जाता है कि विभाग ये दोनों रूट डीएलएफ में तय करना चाहता है। एक रूट जो तय किया गया है, वह पुराने गुड़गांव का हिस्सा है। बस स्टैंड से पटौदी रोड पर कादीपुर गांव से होते हुए सेक्टर 10 से हीरो होंडा चौक तक का रूट फाइनल कर लिया गया बताया जा रहा है। कहां-कहां दौड़ रही सिटी बस सेवा फिलहाल सात रूट हैं, इनमें बस स्टैंड से आईएमटी मानेसर, मानेसर से दिल्ली के करोल बाग एरिया, बस स्टैंड से केंद्रीय विहार, रेलवे स्टेशन से एमजी रोड मेट्रो स्टेशन, बस स्टैंड से डूंडाहेड़ा, बस स्टैंड से पालम विहार, बादशाहपुर से हुडा सिटी सेंटर मेट्रो स्टेशन, बस स्टैंड से बसई रोड पर सेक्टर नौ कॉलेज तक सिटी सेवा दौड़ रही है।

The timing of local buses will be displayed at these shelters. In a meeting with officials, deputy commissioner PC Meena said the intra-city bus service has been successful. He said the transport department has received several proposals from the public to start such a service in other parts of the city. The possibility of using these bus shelters for displaying advertisements was also being explored. Haryana Roadways (Gurgaon depot) GM Yashender Singh said as many as 29 bus shelters would be constructed on the route from the local bus stand to Kendriya Vihar, 25 shelters on Bus Stand-IMT Manesar route, 18 on Gurgaon railway station-HUDA City Centre Metro station route, 16 on Bus Stand-Dundahera route, 10 on HUDA City Centre Metro station-Badshahpur route and seven each on Bus Stand-Palam Vihar and Bus Stand-Basai Chowk routes. Residents had been demanding construction of these bus shelters as they had no option but to wait for buses under the scorching sun. “This is a good step. The shelters should have proper route information. Currently, I am not aware that at what time bus will come and where should I stand to catch the bus. As there is no shelter or even a signboard to indicate a bus stop, we are clueless about where the buses halt," said Rohit Sharma, a daily commuter. Meena said the queue shelters were needed at these locations to help the commuters while waiting for their buses. |

Tips for HUDA/Haryana Roadways
1. 500 buses covering the whole city. 2. Proper bus stops every 1 km/half km 3. Train bus conductors/bus drivers in politeness and being helpful to customers. Also, given how tough it is and stressful to drive in Gurgaon traffic, they should be taken care of. 4. Electronic Ticketing Machines in all the buses and round fares (i.e 5,10,15 and not 9,7 6, so change will not be a constant issue.) 5. Frequency of one bus every 5 minutes. 6. Swanky Gurgaon bus terminal 7. Modern low floor swanky buses that are disabled friendly 8. Intelligent transport system 9. Pot-hole free roads |

Plan to park buses in IP plant opposed NEW DELHI: The transport department's plan to utilize the space within the soon-to-be renovated Indraprastha power plant for parking cluster buses seems to have hit a roadblock with the umbrella transportation body, UTTIPEC, objecting to the plan. A senior government official said, "There is an acute lack of space for cluster depots. While some new depots have been opened recently in Sunehri Nullah on Lodhi Road, the fact is that cluster buses have no parking place. The space identified within the IP power plant premises would have accommodated over 200 buses." In a recent governing body meeting however, UTTIPEC officials objected to the proposed parking site in the IP power plant renovation project. "The proposed bus parking site within the redevelopment project of IP power station is not desirable considering that the movement of buses will have a negative impact due to fuel, oil leakage and many other problems due to washing, cleaning etc. as the same fall in the river bed ('O' Zone). Alternate sites for bus depot should be identified in consultation with concerned agencies/stakeholder," says the minutes of the meeting. Officials say a parking site within the IP plant premises would defeat the purpose of converting the plant into a biodiversity zone. The IP power plant, which is scheduled to be fully decommissioned soon, will be converted into a biodiversity zone with a cultural and public space. |

Delhi may give auto permits to NCR drivers NEW DELHI: The Delhi government is planning to allow autorickshaw drivers from Noida and Gurgaon to also apply for the new three-wheeled scooter rickshaw (TSR) permits that the government will be issuing on Supreme Court orders. "Talks have been on with representatives of both the Haryana and Uttar Pradesh governments regarding this. A letter to this effect was also sent a few weeks ago," said a senior government official. On principal, both governments had agreed to the proposal, a source added. Currently, movement of autorickshaws between Delhi-Gurgaon or Delhi-Noida is not allowed. Those travelling between the NCR areas have to change autorickshaws at the borders. According to an official, "Talks have been on with the respective regional transport officials to streamline the process. At present, our policy for the new permits makes it mandatory for the TSR driver to have a license as well as a public service vehicle badge. We have asked transport departments of the other states to also ensure that such a provision is made for auto drivers applying for NCR permits." A government official added that the preliminary idea is to allot 4,000 permits to auto drivers from UP and Haryana each. And depending on the feedback, the number will be increased, the official added. Transport department is hoping that the issuance of new permits to TSRs travelling between Delhi and NCR areas like Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurgaon will bring down instances of commuters getting fleeced while traveling between the places. The transport department has been in the process of allotting new permits, over 45,000, for several months now. The Supreme Court had ordered the Delhi government to relax the cap on autorickshaws from the present 55,000 to one lakh. However, delay in forming the policy has kept the project hanging fire for some time. Delhi government has now decided to set up a committee comprising a group of ministers, including transport minister Arvinder Singh, to look into allotting a set number of permits to the minority community as well. Sources added the timeline for issuance of new permits would be decided only once the GoM gives its recommendations. |

They need to have a system of moving across the whole NCR seamlessly. They had come to an agreement between all the four states: UP/haryana/Delhi/Rajasthan before the CWG but it didn't work out.

सिटी मंे मेट्रो का कुल रूट 8 से 10 किलोमीटर लंबा है। रोडवेज की सिटी बस सर्विस ने लोगों के लिए मेट्रो तक पहुंचने की राह को आसान कर दिया है। इससे लोग 10 से 15 किलोमीटर दूर से भी मेट्रो स्टेशन आराम से पहुंच पा रहे हैं। यही वजह है कि मेट्रो की राइडरशिप भी अब रिकॉर्ड बना रही है।
ओल्ड गुड़गांव से मेट्रो स्टेशन पहुंचना हुआ आसान रोडवेज ने सिटी बस सर्विस के तहत मेट्रो को पुराने गुड़गांव से भी जोड़ने की कोशिश की है। इसके तहत हूडा सिटी सेंटर स्टेशन को रेलवे स्टेशन से जोड़ा गया है तो सिकंदरपुर व एमजी रोड स्टेशन को सेक्टर 55-56 के साथ बस अड्डे से भी कनेक्टिविटी दी गई है। इसके अलावा बादशाहपुर को भी हूडा सिटी सेंटर मेट्रो स्टेशन से कनेक्टिविटी दी गई है। सिटी बस सर्विस की स्मार्ट राइड स्मार्ट राइड नाम की एक सर्विस भी चलाई जा रही है। यह बस सर्विस कॉल सेंटर कर्मियों के लिए है। इसके तहत सिकंदरपुर मेट्रो स्टेशन से शंकर चौक और द्रोणाचार्य मेट्रो स्टेशन तक के लिए एसी बस चलती है। बस में स्मार्ट कार्ड से ट्रेवल किया जा सकता है। शहर के सबसे बडे़ मॉल तक भी सिकंदरपुर स्टेशन, हूडा सिटी सेंटर स्टेशन से फ्री एसी बस सर्विस चल रही है ताकि मेट्रो से आने वाले यात्री आसानी से मॉल पहुंच सकें। सिमट गई दूरी मेट्रो में बादशाहपुर, राजीव चौक, झाड़सा, सेक्टर-14, उद्योग विहार, सुखराली, सेक्टर 55-56 आदि से बड़ी संख्या में लोग आते हैं। कुछ लोग तो करीब 15 किलोमीटर का सफर तय करके मेट्रो तक पहुंचते हैं। बॉक्स पार्किंग के लिए होती है किचकिच मेट्रो स्टेशनों पर पार्किंग स्पेस काफी कम है जिससे यात्रियों को परेशानी होती है। कई बार डीएमआरसी भी जगह की डिमांड कर चुकी है लेकिन मेट्रो स्टेशन के आसपास जगह न मिलने की वजह से पार्किंग नहीं बढ़ पा रही है। आने वाले समय में हूडा सिटी सेंटर स्टेशन में अंडरग्राउंड पार्किंग खुलने वाली है। इससे लोगों को राहत मिलेगी। इसके अलावा रैपिड मेट्रो भी अपने सेकंड फेज में सेक्टर 55-56 के पास पार्किंग बनाएगी लेकिन इसके भी पहले फेज में पार्किंग नहीं है। स्टेशन पार्किंग एरिया हूडा सिटी सेंटर 6500 स्क्वायर मीटर इफ्को चौक 5905 स्क्वायर मीटर एमजी रोड 875 स्क्वायर मीटर सिकंदरपुर 1577 स्क्वायर मीटर गुरु द्रोणाचार्य - 4572 स्क्वेयर म ीटर

Ridership of metro as seen an increase because many parts of city now have a direct connectivity with the 3 metro stations (CITY CENTRE, IFFCO and MG Road)
earlier , ppl used to change 3 autos to cover 10-12 kms , now they have a direct bus service // they need to oncrease the freq and work on shelters ASAP , kapasahera - bus stand , railway station - CITy Centre , bus stand - SEC 55 and CITY Centre - badhshahpur are PACKED !!

They need to introduce more AC low floor swanky buses. Big buses like the ones in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore are a must. Gurgaon should learn from Mumbai BEST where even old buses are well-maintained. Good bus shelters, new routes for the old and new city, AC buses, and good roads along with trained bus conductors and drivers who are polite and friendly are the need of the hour. Need at least 500 or so buses.

Volvo from Panchkula to Gurgaon After increasing the frequency of routes between Chandigarh and Gurgaon and vice versa, the Haryana government has started another Volvo, connecting Panchkula and Gurgaon. The bus would depart from Panchkula at 4 pm daily and go to Gurgaon. The bus to Panchkula from Gurgaon would leave Gurgaon at 4.20 am every day and enter Panchkula from the Zirakpur lightpoint, without entering Chandigarh. Tickets for the bus can be booked online through the Haryana government transport department’s website (hartrans.gov.in) in addition to booking of tickets at the bus stand. |
