Thanks Mr Housen!
![]() Opening the new thread with some news about a "Manufacturing Technology Centre" that has been given the go-ahead for Ansty. http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/new...2746-25048013/ Cov could really become the hi-tech centre for the Midlands what with this, the new building training centre in the city centre, and Ericsson... plus the technology business park at Whitley...

Good one, waves...
I notice the Birmingham paper has a better article than the miserable excuse of newspaper they publish in Coventry these days.

The post has always been half decent, lets hope going weekly will improve it. Anyway the MTC is good news not just for Coventry, but the midlands as a whole.

I've also noticed the demolition of the low rise flats near the A46 flyover on London Road. Last edited by inspired; October 30th, 2009 at 06:13 PM. |

The other store closed down earlier this week. The buildings near the flyover are actually offices - it used to be NTL's base. The Hope and Anchor was well on its way to being an ex-pub this morning. Shame, really, but I guess it's an anachronism stuck there.

The new HMV is weird, with some more stuff in, but still a poor selection of music overall.
I noticed a new Hawkin's Bazaar has opened up - looks permanent, as well - and a temporary gadget shop as well. New cheap clothes shop as well.

Just been watching the repeat of the Blitz on BBC2. What an incredibly proud bunch Coventrians are and how they reinstated the services, worked in the munitions factories and generally stuck two fingers up at Fritz in total defiance!
