Hope the same. Flydubai is already doing job for them. The other possible thing is that either Aerosvit or Ukraine International Airlines will get 777 for their charter flights. Turkey, Egypt, Dominican Republic, Sri Lanka and some other routes generate enough number of pax.

I used to be under impression that FlyDubai was not doing so well in Kiev... I think I looked on their page, and it looked as only 3 flights per week. I am glad to hear that they are doing okay. That's amazing! I mean in Belgrade they got 5 weekly so they are looking to go daily as early as end of this year.

I am sure EK could start BEG and KBP, but they just want to wait and give some time to FZ. On top of that, they are going after some bigger markets at the moment...

If I am not mistaken, FlyDubai is the only carrier that is serving Belgrade - Dubai route?

Kyiv-Dubai was served by three caries: Aerosvit, Ukraine International Airlines and FlyDubai. After having some problems, Aerosvit dropped this route leaving space for Ukraine International Airlines and FlyDubai.

Indeed, you are right! Moreover, I don't think that EK would even fill A330 to KBP.
Yup, just FlyDubai for now. I think Jat is trying to get some 737NG and restart again, and try to compete with FlyDubai... They messed it up fron the start. They only flew 3-4 times a week, and could never get all the connecting pax from Austrialia. I mean they scooped up some, but not the good slack that backtracks via EU... That's where Flydubai saw an opportunity, and said bye bye to jAT...

Now it's a pretty hard time for carries to gain a "slice" of market, especially from rivals such as FlyDubai.
