I've always found Battersea Power Station in London to be extremely imposing. What an amazing piece of industrial architecture!

Amazing thread! Thanks everyone for those pictures. I didn't knew some of the buildings posted even existed! I guess I would vote for Palais de Justice (Brussels), Mont St. Michel (France), that dome in Ivory Coast or.. oh man, there's just too many.

This shot makes the Eiffel tower look really imposing too.

That building is massive, it must of been unreal in the 1500s.

Good point, but the more I think about it, my final vote goes for another chinese building of gigantic dimensions, that somehow hasn't been mentioned here at all, so far:






Gladly the Berlin Wall and the Iron Curtain have been torn down allready, so luckily they're by far not as imposing anymore as they used to be during the cold war:
