i agree totally .. i really like the metlife building for this reason , most people think its to imposing , but i like that part .. a skyscraper should be enormous looking , not just TALL , like a slim tower with a spire on the top ...

a less known one:

Prora, on the island Rugen in the north of Germany. Construction started in the end of the 30's as a resort for the masses commisioned by Adolf Hitler, never fully completed though and partly blown up by the Russians - and after they found out the complex to be simply too big to blow up partly finnished by the same Russians. A complex that cosists of two buildings of 2,5km each.

It's size is imposing, believe me

(for reference to how tall it is, those little black things at the top are large windows)

it is about 400 feet tall

Its such a shame because that building goes against so much of what the pilgrimage to Mecca stands for. Too bad that boycotting the Hajj is not an option for us.
