Not to disagree with you, but I have a hard time believing the Opera House is 183 meters tall.

Yeah, I wrote that wrong. It's 183m long and is 67m tall.

Chicago has a number of good canidates from the Sears Tower, the Old Post Office (straddling a major expressway), McCormick Place Complex but I would have to go with.............
