สรรพสามิตตรวจโรงงานโตโยต้า หลังมีแผนยกเลิกภาษีหน้าโรงงาน มาเก็บตามราคาขายจริง ระบุในปีที่ผ่านมา ยอดภาษีสรรพสามิตรถยนต์ต่ำกว่าเป้า เตรียมปรับปรุงระบบภาษีใหม่ทั้งหมด พร้อมแก้ไขกฎหมายรองรับ ขณะที่ปัจจุบันคลังยังยกเว้นภาษีส่งออกรถยนต์อยู่ ส่วนภาษีรถยนต์ประหยัดพลังงานยังไม่ลงตัว

วานนี้นายพฤฒิชัย ดำรงรัตน์ รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการคลัง และนายอารีพงศ์ ภู่ชอุ่ม อธิบดีกรมสรรพสามิต พร้อมคณะเจ้าหน้าที่และสื่อมวลชนเดินทางเข้าเยี่ยมชม บริษัท โตโยต้า มอเตอร์ ประเทศไทย จำกัด ณ โรงงานประกอบรถยนต์โตโยต้า บ้านโพธิ์ จังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา โดยมีนาย เคียวอิจิ ทานาดะ กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ให้การต้อนรับ ซึ่งการดำเนินงานของโรงงานโตโยต้า บ้านโพธิ์ จังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา ผลิตรถยนต์นั่งที่มีกระบะ และรถยนต์กระบะ โดยมีกำลังการผลิต 100,000 คัน/ปี ซึ่งนับเป็นโรงงานที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม(Eco Plant)

นายอารีพงศ์ ภู่ชอุ่ม อธิบดีกรมสรรพสามิต กล่าวว่า ขณะที่ในปีงบประมาณ 2552 จำนวน 49,278.14 ล้านบาท เมื่อเทียบกับปีงบประมาณ 2551 ต่ำกว่าร้อยละ 14.79 ส่วนในปีงบประมาณ 2553(ต.ค.-ธ.ค.52) กรมสรรพสามิตจัดเก็บภาษีจากรถยนต์ได้จำนวน

18,874.53 ล้านบาท เมื่อเทียบกับช่วงเดียวกันของปี 2552 สูงกว่าร้อยละ 26.77

สำหรับการตรวจเยี่ยมโรงงานครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อนำไปสู่วิสัยทัศน์ของกรมสรรพสามิต เป็นองค์กรพลวัตเพื่อการจัดเก็บภาษีที่มีมาตรฐานสากล ปกป้องสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อม

ก่อนหน้านี้ นายอารีพงศ์ กล่าวว่า กรมมีแผนที่จะปรับปรุงโครงสร้างภาษีใหม่ทั้งหมด โนเฉพาะวิธีการคำนวณภาษี ที่ปัจจุบันจะคำนวณภาษีสินค้าหน้าโรงงานซึ่งพบว่ามีปัญหามาก ทั้งเรื่องของต้นทุนผู้ประกอบการที่ไม่สะท้อนความเป็นจริง ผู้ประกอบการสามารถแจ้งราคาต้นทุนต่ำ เพื่อมาคำนวณภาษีต่ำ โดยที่กรมไม่สามารถตรวจสอบได้

นอกจากนี้ วิธีการคำนวณภาษียังมีความซับซ้อน จนมีหลายฝ่ายมองว่าการคำนวณภาษีของกรมสรรพสามิตไม่มีความโปร่งใส

การดำเนินการดังกล่าว จะต้องมีการแก้ไขกฎหมายสรรพสามิตที่กำหนดไว้ตายตัวว่าต้องเก็บภาษีจากฐานราคาหน้าโรงงาน ซึ่งใช้กับทุกสินค้าที่กรมสรรพสามิตเก็บอยู่ในขณะนี้

นายแพทย์ พฤฒิชัย ดำรงรัตน์ รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการคลัง กล่าวว่าเตรียมที่จะพิจารณาระบบภาษีรถยนต์ประหยัดพลังงานทังหมดเร็วๆนี้ โดย ปัจจุบันกระทรวงการคลังได้มีการยกเว้นการจัดเก็บภาษีกรณีที่มีการส่งออกรถยนต์

ทั้งนี้ เพื่อเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขัน ช่วยกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจในภาคอุตสาหกรรม โดยในปี 2552 ภาคอุตสาหกรรมรถยนต์ที่เป็นผู้ประกอบอุตสาหกรรมรถยนต์ มียอดการจำหน่าย 649,038 คัน มีการจำหน่ายในประเทศ 466,223 คัน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 71.83

ของยอดการจำหน่าย ภาษีสรรพสามิต 49,278.13 ล้านบาท และมีการยกเว้นภาษีรถยนต์จำนวน 182,815 คัน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 28.16 ของยอดการจำหน่าย มีปริมาณการยกเว้นภาษีรถยนต์สูงกว่าเมื่อเทียบกับปี 2551 ซึ่งมีการส่งออก จำนวน 169,997 คัน

สำหรับบริษัทโตโยต้า ยังเป็นบริษัทที่มีฐานการผลิตรถยนต์กระบะที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในเอเซีย และมีการใช้วัตถุดิบในการผลิตรถยนต์กระบะมาจากในประเทศ ร้อยละ 96 นำเข้าเพียงร้อยละ 4 ซึ่งการใช้วัตถุดิบในประเทศที่มีปริมาณมากขึ้นนั้น จะส่งผลให้ภาคอุตสาหกรรมมีการจ้างงานเพิ่มขึ้น มีเม็ดเงินหมุนเวียนเข้าสู่ระบบของประเทศมากยิ่งขึ้น

ทั้งนี้ จากนโยบายของกระทรวงการคลังได้มอบให้กรมสรรพสามิตดูแลสินค้าที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อมทั้งทางตรงและทางอ้อมเป็นพิเศษ เนื่องจากภายใต้การกำกับดูแลของกรมสรรพสามิตมี โรงอุตสาหกรรมที่อาจส่งผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม เช่น โรงงานประกอบรถยนต์ รถจักรยานยนต์ และน้ำมันและผลิตภัณฑ์น้ำมัน

AAT reports quality levels increase after lockout

After a lockout at the AutoAlliance Thailand (AAT) plant in Rayong, Ford and Mazda pickup trucks and Mazda2 hatchbacks are rolling off the line with improved quality levels, says AAT's general manager for quality, Panat Boonkham.

"Nearly 90% of output from the line is rolling off in perfect condition, which the plant has never achieved before," he said.

This shows that the line is definitely not being manned by newly recruited workers, as claimed by the Ford-Mazda Thailand Union, he said.

He added that AAT had conducted rigorous and comprehensive checks to ensure the readiness of the line before restarting production.

AAT has hired no new workers in relation to the lockout and remains focused on reinstating its current, experienced and committed workforce, he said.

Kiyotaka Shobuda, the president of AAT, earlier said all employees clearly understood that the reputation and success of the company rested on the world-class quality and safety of each vehicle that it produced and shipped.

Although a minority of workers continue to reject the company's offers, the Rayong plant began one working shift on Tuesday with slightly more than 2,000 staff on the line, said Mr Panat.

He hopes the workers still rallying outside the plant will return to their jobs, which could help increase production, he said.

"As long as the lockout continues, no work and no pay still apply for these workers," said Mr Panat. AAT announced a lockout on Jan 5, citing the failure of negotiations with the union on pay and bonuses as well as "sabotage" at the plant.

AAT gave its staff until Jan 6 to either report to work and accept a new contract or face a lockout.

Employees who accept the new agreement will be guaranteed full pay and benefits and receive a full-year bonus later this month.

About 900 workers continue rallying outside the plant. But AAT said 2,650 workers have returned to their jobs - about 550 office staff and 2,100 production workers, including 1,000 permanent and 1,100 subcontracted workers.

นายอุดม ตันติประสงค์ชัย ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท วัน ทู โก ผู้ให้บริการสายการบินต้นทุนต่ำ (โลว์คอสต์ แอร์ไลน์) วัน ทู โก เปิดเผยว่า บริษัทอยู่ระหว่างการเจรจากับบริษัทบีวายดี ผู้ผลิตรถไฟฟ้าลดการใช้พลังงาน แบรนด์ บีวายดี จากสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน เพื่อเป็นตัวแทนจำหน่ายรถยนต์ของบริษัทดังกล่าวในประเทศไทย คาดการเจรจาจะสรุปได้ประมาณปลายเดือนม.ค.นี้
ทั้งนี้ เบื้องต้นบริษัทจะใช้งบลงทุนราว 500 ล้านบาท โดยเป็นงบการลงทุนร่วมกับหุ้นส่วน เพื่อนำเข้ารถยี่ห้อดังกล่าว รวมถึงตั้งโชว์รูมจำหน่ายรถ และการโฆษณาประชาสัมพันธ์สร้างการรับรู้ ในยี่ห้อสินค้า โดยแบรนด์บีวายดี หรือ บิว ยัวร์ ดรีม เป็นรถยนต์อีโคคาร์ สามารถใช้ได้สองระบบ ทั้งน้ำมันและระบบไฟฟ้าผ่านแบตเตอรี่ ราคาเริ่มต้นที่คันละ 4 แสนบาท

Diesel engine line in Thailand will help Hino tap Afta benefits

Hino will begin making the diesel engines for Hino trucks built locally in the middle of this year, making it the second company after its rival Isuzu to make truck engines in Thailand.

Hino currently imports the high-technology parts it needs, including engines, from its parent company in Japan.

Engine production in Thailand is being planned to prepare the company to export Hino trucks to Asean neighbours.

At the moment, Hino trucks cannot be shipped to Asean as their local content is below the 40% level required to qualify for tariff reductions. Once the engines are made locally with parts that can be sourced locally or from other Asean locations at low or zero tariffs, the local content would exceed 40%.

Takeo Saito, president of Hino Motor Sales Co, declined to detail the investment cost for the engine plant or its production capacity but said the facilities were located in the same compound as the truck manufacturing plant at Amata Nakhon in Chon Buri.

Hino currently produces trucks of two and 3.5 tons and up for the local market. It began exporting trucks to India last year to tap the free trade agreement between Thailand and India but export figures were not available.

Mr Saito said that Hino performed well last year in the Thai market despite the industry downturn.

"We earlier believed the truck market would slump in 2009 due to the world financial crisis and low domestic consumption and investment but it steadily recovered after the government's launch of stimulus spending ... and positive developments in agriculture prices and mining business," he said.

The overall heavy truck market, which excludes one-ton pickups, contracted by only 4.8% year-on-year to 17,044 units in 2009 while Hino truck sales contracted by only 3.2% year-on-year to 6,923 units.

Of total truck sales in 2009, 635 units sold were NGV-fuelled trucks with Hino selling 479 units, representing a market-leading 75% share.

Since Hino introduced NGV trucks in April last year, demand has been increasing steadily as NGV prices are heavily subsidised at 8.50 baht a kilogramme, which appeals to operators seeking to avoid higher diesel prices.

Mr Saito forecast 10% growth in overall demand for trucks in 2010 to 19,000 units. Diesel prices will be a factor, though, as world oil prices are expected to average $80-85 a barrel compared with $65 last year. Hino expects its truck sales this year will grow by 10% to 8,000 units, of which 6,500 will be diesel models and the remaining 1,500 NGV versions.

Hino last Friday introduced new NGV truck model at three million baht.

The Japanese truck maker said the new NGV model will help save costs for buyers with a return on investment taking only 14 months due to cheap fuel costs. As well, yearly tax payments for NGV trucks are half those of diesel versions and maintenance expenses are lower.

Investments in capacity to be limited

The automotive sector will invest little to increase production capacity in the first half of this year despite increased orders, says Adisak Rohitasune, vice-chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries.

"If there are any new investments made this year, they will probably be for new products or new projects. This is because there is still enough capacity left," said Mr Adisak, also executive vice-president of Asian Honda Motor Co Ltd.

Moreover, the government has not issued new investment incentives.

Last year Thailand manufactured 1 million cars and pickup trucks, while full production capacity was 1.8 million. This year Thailand is expected to manufacture 1.2 million units.

"If there are positive changes to Thai politics, the second half should see new investments, which are likely to be in the form of investments with the government such as skytrains," said Mr Adisak.

He said risk factors include increased oil prices, strengthening of the baht and, most significantly, political issues.

The auto industry expects to gain 100 billion baht more in revenues from last year's 500 billion, based on an assumption of 500,000 baht per vehicle, Mr Adisak said.

The industry expects to export 600,000 cars and sell 600,000 domestically.

This year many companies are launching new products, such as the Nissan eco-car in March.

Mr Adisak said China was an interesting market now that the Asean-China Free Trade Area was in effect, given its volume of 13 million cars sold last year. Thailand has only 10% of China's sales and half of India's.

Asean should have sales volume of 2.3 million cars per year, he added.

He said the Asean FTA, which has eliminated tariffs on 92% of all goods traded in the region, would lead to a decrease in costs.

For most auto parts, the tariffs have fallen from 5% to zero. "The exchange of auto parts between Asean countries from now on should increase," said Mr Adisak.

However, Thailand still lacks an upstream steel industry, which is significant if it wants to compete with China and India in terms of material costs, he said.

Toyota predicts 9% growth in 2010

Toyota, Thailand's largest auto-maker, says it expects the Thai auto market to grow by 9 per cent to 600,000 units this year.

Toyota Motor Thailand president Kyoichi Tanada said passenger-car sales would reach 251,000 units while commercial-vehicle sales would reach 349,000 units, of which 272,000 units would be pure pickups.

Speaking at the company's annual press conference, Tanada said there were several factors that would enable growth in 2010.

In 2009, the total automobile market suffered a 28-per-cent plunge in the first half of the year, but there was a rebound in the second-half and the year ended with sales of 548,871 units, dropping by 10.8 per cent year on year. The fall in the passenger-car market was limited to just 1.4 per cent, to 230,037 units, thanks to increased popularity of small and fuel-efficient models. The market for commercial vehicles declined by 17.9 per cent in 2009 to 318,834 units. Of these, 240,887 were pure pickup models, representing a fall of 20.4 per cent in this segment.

"A revival of the automobile industry occurred at the end of 2009 as a result of several economic-stimulus packages introduced by the government, such as the Thai Khemkhaeng projects I and II, which aimed to invest in the economic system, an increase in agricultural product prices and tax privileges under various free trade agreements," he said.

Tanada said the pickup segment would be a major player this year and would have a favourable affect on the market.

"In spite of last year's decrease in pickup sales, it is believed that the pickup market will grow and follow the economic upturn," he said.

Toyota plans to sell a total of 257,000 vehicles in Thailand this year, up 11.5 per cent compared to 2009, and hopes to maintain the 42.8-per-cent market share it held in 2009, with sales of 111,000 passenger cars and 146,000 commercial vehicles, including 114,500 pure pickups.

Tanada said he was convinced that Toyota would be able to hold on to leadership in all three major domestic markets this year.

The company also expects exports to increase this year, thanks to the revival of the global economy and increased demand from various parts of the world.

"We project our 2010 exports will grow by 21 per cent to approximately 287,800 units, worth Bt127.1 billion, and exports of auto engines and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts will reach about Bt54.32 billion," he said.

Tanada said Toyota's expected overall export sales, estimated to be worth Bt181.42 billion, would help to stimulate and strengthen the Thai economy in 2010.

Last year, Toyota's exports plunged by 24 per cent to 237,834 vehicles worth Bt104.5 billion. Exports of engines and OEM parts reached Bt48.45 billion for a total export value of Bt152.95 billion.

Tanada also said that Toyota's parts-localisation rate had increased over the years, and the company was increasing its use of Thai-made parts as much as possible.

"We also encourage our auto-parts manufacturers in Thailand to use local equipment and materials, which helps to mitigate foreign exchange risks and yields benefits to the country as a whole," he said.

The success of the Camry Hybrid is also leading Toyota to study the possible introduction of more hybrid models in Thailand.

"We are planning to cooperate with government authorities by providing additional information for use in formulating policies in support of hybrid cars, which will benefit both the automobile industry and the environment," he said.

As for the eco-car project, Tanada said that although Toyota supported the idea, it still needed more time to prepare, as well as studying market demand and locally made products.

Nissan will be the first auto-maker to launch its eco-car model in March, and Honda is expected to present its version at the end of this year. Other auto-makers waiting in line to launch their eco-cars are Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Tata.

ไม่ลดภาษีให้ โตโยต้าขู่เลิก ผลิต‘พรีอุส’

โตโยต้า ขู่ทบทวนแผนผลิต พรีอุส ไฮบริด หากรัฐบาลไม่ลดภาษีนำเข้าชิ้นส่วน 7 รายการ

นายนินนาท ไชยธีรภิญโญ รองประธานกรรมการ บริษัท โตโยต้า มอเตอร์ ประเทศไทย เปิดเผยว่า หากรัฐบาลไม่พิจารณาปรับลดภาษีนำเข้า 7 รายการตามที่บริษัทเสนอไป ก็อาจจะส่งผลกระทบต่อการลงทุนเพื่อผลิตโตโยต้า พรีอุส ซึ่งเป็นรถยนต์ไฮบริดรุ่นต่อไปของบริษัท

“เราพยายามเสนอแนวทางให้รัฐบาลลดภาษีนำเข้าให้กับชิ้นส่วนที่ไม่มีการผลิตในประเทศไทย และมองว่าหากรถยนต์ไฮบริดมียอดขายมากขึ้น ก็จะมีการผลิตเพิ่มขึ้น โตโยต้าก็พร้อมที่จะใช้ชิ้นส่วนในประเทศทดแทนหากมีการผลิตได้ แต่การที่รัฐบาลไม่พิจารณาในเรื่องนี้ อาจจะส่งผลกระทบต่อแผนงานที่เราวางไว้” นายนินนาท กล่าว

นอกจากนี้ รัฐบาลไม่ควรที่จะเข้าไปปรับโครงสร้างภาษีรถยนต์ทั้งระบบ โดยเฉพาะโครงสร้างภาษีสรรพสามิต เนื่องจากมองว่าจะส่งผลกระทบต่อตลาดรถยนต์ที่กำลังฟื้นตัว ประกอบกับโครงสร้างภาษีที่มีอยู่ก็ดีและเหมาะสมอยู่แล้ว

ทั้งนี้ นายนินนาท กล่าวว่า การกำหนดอัตราโครงสร้างภาษีรถยนต์ของไทยนั้นจะพิจารณาให้สิทธิทางภาษีกับอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์ที่มีการลงทุนมาก ประหยัดน้ำมัน และเป็นมิตรกับสิ่งแวดล้อมอยู่แล้ว หากรัฐบาลมีแนวคิดที่จะเปลี่ยนแปลงโครงสร้างภาษี ก็จะทำให้ผู้บริโภคชะลอการซื้อรถยนต์เพื่อรอโครงสร้างภาษีใหม่ได้

สำหรับนโยบายเขตการค้าเสรีที่เปิดใช้ในปีนี้จะไม่ส่งผลกระทบต่อการดำเนินงานของโตโยต้ามากนัก เนื่องจากรถยนต์ที่ผลิตในประเทศใช้ชิ้นส่วนในประเทศเป็นหลัก และที่ผ่านมาก็มีการเตรียมความพร้อมเพื่อรองรับความร่วมมือทางด้านการค้านี้มาแล้วสักระยะ ที่เห็นชัดเจนก็คือราคาจำหน่ายของรถยนต์นำเข้าจะถูกลงเท่านั้น

FTI: Car exports up 23.86% in Dec

Car exports last month rose to 53,600 units or 23.86% year-on-year, Federation of Thai Industries' Automotive Industry Club spokesman Surapong Paisitpattanapong said.

However, auto exports in December dropped 58,665 units or 8.63 per cent from November. Last month's export value was 25.21 billion baht, up 41.81 per cent.

Throughout 2009, car exports stood at 535,563 units, down 31.01 per cent year-on-year. The export value was 251.34 billion baht, down 21.94 per cent from 2008.

Mr Surapong said 111,722 cars were produced last month, 32.06 per cent higher year-on-year but 7.66 per cent lower from Nov 2009. A total of 999,378 cars were manufactured last year, 28.31 per cent lower from 2008.

Domestic auto sales last month stood at 72, 085 units, hitting a three year high. The figure was 22.2 per cent higher from the same period of 2008. A total of 548,871 cars were sold last year, down 10.8 per cent from 2008.

"The increase of auto sales in the past four months was due to the rising confidence of consumers and the auto industry, in addition to the government's stimulus measures, higher prices of agricultural products and improved tourism since the third quarter last year," he said.

The Automotive Industry Club forecast that 385,693 cars would be produced in the first quarter of this year, or 10.91 per cent higher from the previous quarter. Auto production between Oct and Dec 2009 was at 347,750 units.

GM secures loans from local banks

Three Thai banks have agreed to provide loans for the Thai unit of General Motors to fund its 15-billion-baht diesel engine plant and the expansion of pickup truck production in Rayong.

The financing will be jointly provided by Bangkok Bank, Siam Commercial Bank and Tisco Bank. Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij will preside over the signing ceremony next Friday, according to a statement yesterday by GM.

The Export-Import Bank of Thailand (Exim Bank), which was earlier reported to have played a key role in helping GM to secure its funding, is not involved in the lending.

Sources said the loan deal would be for around 13 billion baht.

Executives of the three banks and GM declined to comment on the details of the deal but a source said the funding would be enough to cover the required investments for the two projects.

Eric John, the US Ambassador to Thailand, and Tim Lee, president of General Motors International Operations, will also be present at the signing ceremony, the automaker said.

GM's $445-million diesel engine plant has been delayed by about a year from its original schedule because of a lack of financial support from the US parent, which went through bankruptcy last year. GM (Thailand) said earlier that the project should be operational in 2010.

In 2009, GM sold 15,111 vehicles under its Chevrolet brand in Thailand, down 31.9% from the previous year, with a market share of 2.8%, according to industry figures complied by Toyota Motor Thailand.

The Rayong plant, which employs 1,200 people, manufactured 40,000 units last year year, compared with 140,000 units a year earlier, half of which were for export.

Mitsubishi eases off launches

The next all-new product from Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) will be its eco-car due in 2012, says the company's top executive.

Nobuyuki Murahashi, president and CEO, said Mitsubishi will introduce no cars into the Thai market in the next two years, unlike other major automotive powerhouses, which are set to launch at least a model a year in the mid-term.

In the meantime, Mr Murahashi stressed that Mitsubishi's nationwide dealer network will be revamped to root out inefficiency and introduce new measures to boost customer satisfaction.

The former executive of Isuzu said an improved sales network should enable Mitsubishi to handle eco-car sales.

The eco-car's long gestation reflects its creation from scratch, as Mitsubishi has no products in its current global portfolio that qualify as eco-cars, he said.

Mitsubishi recently added the Pajero Sport SUV, Space Wagon MPV and Lancer EX to its Thai production lines.

It was widely expected that Mitsubishi would expand into the B-segment before moving into eco-cars, which many expect to have very small margins.

At the launch of the Lancer EX C-segment saloon, Mr Murahashi said Mitsubishi will pull down the price of the old Lancer so it can compete with B-segment saloons like the Honda City and Toyota Vios.

While the Lancer EX comes with 1.8- and 2.0-litre engines, the previous model is being sold with a 1.6-litre motor and a bi-fuel variant running on natural gas and petrol. Mitsubishi's proper B-segment car is the Colt hatchback, sold in other markets and near the end of its lifecycle.

On the hybrid trend triggered by Toyota in Thailand, Mr Murahashi said Mitsubishi will launch a plug-in hybrid in 2013. "We are more interested in gasohol and biodiesel. We believe this is the right trend because Thailand is an agricultural country," he said.

Models of Mitsubishi that can run on bio-fuels include the Triton and Pajero Sport (B5 bio-diesel), Lancer EV 1.8 (E85 gasohol). The company's other models can run on at least E20.

With this current model lineup, Mr Murahashi forecast that this year's sales should rise to about 30,000 units, up from 17,000 last year.

Mr Murahashi expects Thailand to benefit from Asean free trade through increased orders of completely built-up vehicles and completely knocked-down kits, especially for the Pajero Sport.

นายฮาเซกาวากล่าวว่า อีโคคาร์นิสสันจะสามารถตอบโจทย์ความต้องการลูกค้าได้อย่างครบถ้วน โดยเฉพาะเรื่องความประหยัด และความสะดวกสบาย ซึ่งตรงนี้จะเป็นจุดขายหลัก ซึ่งนิสสันจะพยายามชี้ให้ผู้บริโภคเห็นว่ารถคันนี้มีขนาดใหญ่และกว้างขวาง ที่จะนำพาผู้ขับขี่และผู้โดยสารสามารถเดินทางระยะไกลได้แบบสบาย ๆ อีโคคาร์นิสสันให้ทั้งคุณสมบัติและสมรรถนะเทียบเท่ารถยนต์ขนาด 1.5 ลิตร

ด้านเครือข่ายผู้จำหน่าย ซึ่งที่ผ่านมาอาจจะดูไม่แข็งแรงมากนัก แต่หลังจากมีการประชุมผู้จำหน่ายล่าสุด บริษัทได้ให้กำลังใจและกระตุ้นผู้แทนจำหน่ายให้เข้มข้นกับอีโคคาร์มากเป็นพิเศษ และร้องขอให้ดีลเลอร์มีการลงทุนอย่างเหมาะสม สำหรับการตอบรับรถรุ่นใหม่ครั้งนี้ รวมทั้งการเพิ่มทักษะ ฝึกอบรมพนักงาน รวมถึงการปรับปรุงบริการหลังการขาย โดยนิสสันเร่งมือเปลี่ยนจุดอ่อนตรงนี้ให้กลายเป็นจุดแข็งในอนาคต


แหล่งข่าวจากตัวแทนจำหน่ายรถยนต์นิสสัน กล่าวว่าเมื่อไม่นานมานี้ บริษัทแม่ได้เชิญดีลเลอร์ทั่วประเทศร่วมทำเวิร์กช็อป รวมทั้งนำอีโคคาร์มาให้สัมผัส หลังจากที่บริษัทแม่เริ่มทดสอบทั้งเครื่องยนต์และสมรรถนะกับสภาพถนนและการจราจรในบ้านเราซึ่งจากการทดสอบเบื้องต้น ผ่านการตอบรับที่ดีจากบรรดาดีลเลอร์ โดยเฉพาะจุดเด่นความกว้างขวาง คุณภาพวัสดุและอุปกรณ์ที่ใช้เทียบเท่ากับรถยนต์ในญี่ปุ่น รวมทั้งอัตรา ประหยัดน้ำมัน ที่ทดสอบในเมืองได้ถึง 20 ก.ม.ต่อลิตร และวิ่งนอกเมืองได้ถึง 26 ก.ม.ต่อลิตร ซึ่งตรงกับสเป็กของอีโคคาร์


แหล่งข่าวกล่าวว่า จากการดูจากข้อมูลต่าง ๆ สันนิษฐานว่า น่าจะใช้ชื่อ "นิสสัน มาร์ช" มาพร้อมกับเครื่องยนต์ 3 สูบ 1.2 ลิตร ระบบจ่ายน้ำมันแบบหัวฉีด multipoint injection กลไกควบคุมวาล์วเป็นโซ่ตอนเดียวแบบใหม่ ซึ่งจะให้แรงบิดสูงที่รอบเครื่องยนต์ต่ำ ทำให้ออกตัวได้เร็ว มี UN balancer 3 ตำแหน่ง คือ มู่เล่หน้า, ข้อเหวี่ยงหน้า, flywheel เครื่องยนต์มาตรฐานยูโร 4 ที่มีค่าไอเสียเพียง 120 กรัม/กิโลเมตร มีให้เลือกทั้งเกียร์ธรรมดาและเกียร์อัตโนมัติแบบ Xtronic CVT ซึ่งเป็นเทคโนโลยีล่าสุดที่มีอยู่ในนิสสัน เทียน่าโฉมใหม่ โครงสร้างตัวถังของอีโคคาร์ คือ V-platform สำหรับสเป็กข้างต้นนั้น ทางบริษัทแม่อาจจะมีการปรับเปลี่ยนสเป็กบางอย่าง เพื่อให้เกิดความเหมาะสมได้


นางอรรชกา สีบุญเรือง บริมเบิล เลขาธิการคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการลงทุน (บีโอไอ) กล่าวว่า โครงการผลิตรถยนต์ประหยัดพลังงานมาตรการฐานสากล (อีโคคาร์) แม้ต้องเผชิญกับปัญหาเศรษฐกิจโลก แต่ทุกค่ายรถยนต์ยังไม่ได้มีการถอนตัว โครงการลงทุนยังคงเป็นไปตามแผน โดยอีโคคาร์จากบริษัทสยามนิสสัน ออโตโมบิล จะออกจากสายการผลิตในประเทศไทยเป็นเจ้าแรกในเดือนมีนาคมที่จะถึงนี้ นับเป็น 1 จาก 6 ค่ายรถยนต์ที่แผนการชัดเจน

"ฮอนด้า" แชมป์แมงกะไซค์ 21 ปีซ้อน

เอ.พี.ฮอนด้า เผยในฐานะผู้นำตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์ว่า ยอดจดทะเบียนรถจักรยานยนต์โดยรวมทุกยี่ห้อในปีที่ผ่านมา 1,535,613 คัน ลดลงจากปี 2551 เพียง 10%

นายธีระพัฒน์ จิวะพงศ์ กรรมการบริหารฝ่ายขาย บริษัทเอ.พี.ฮอนด้า จำกัด เปิดเผยในฐานะผู้นำตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์ว่า ยอดจดทะเบียนรถจักรยานยนต์โดยรวมทุกยี่ห้อในปีที่ผ่านมา 1,535,613 คัน ลดลงจากปี 2551 เพียง 10% ประกอบด้วย ฮอนด้า 1,014,118 คัน ลดลง 12% มีส่วนแบ่ง 66%, ยามาฮ่า 428,774 คัน ลดลง 2% ส่วนแบ่ง 28%, ซูซูกิ 63,026 คัน ลดลง 25% ส่วนแบ่ง 4%, คาวาซากิ 14,801 คัน เพิ่มขึ้น 43% ส่วนแบ่ง 1%, เจอาร์ดี 1,537 คัน ลดลง 64%, ไทเกอร์ 1,143 คัน ลดลง 1%, แพล็ตตินั่ม 1,059 คัน ลดลง 54% และอื่นๆ 11,155 คัน ลดลง 4%

"โดยรถจักรยานยนต์ประเภทครอบครัวครองความนิยมสูงสุดที่ 755,599 คัน ส่วนแบ่ง 49% แบบเกียร์ออโต หรือเอ.ที. 715,801 คัน ส่วนแบ่ง 47%, แบบครอบครัวกึ่งสปอร์ต 37,286 คัน ส่วนแบ่ง 2%, แบบสปอร์ต 11,567 คัน ส่วนแบ่ง 1% และแบบออฟโรดรวมทั้งรถประเภทอื่นๆ 15,360 คัน ส่วนแบ่ง 1%"

นายธีระพัฒน์กล่าวว่า ตั้งแต่ไตรมาสสุดท้ายของปีที่แล้วเป็นต้นมา ภาพรวมตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์ไทยมีแนวโน้มดีขึ้นต่อเนื่อง เป็นผลจากสภาพ เศรษฐกิจที่ดีขึ้น จากการที่ภาครัฐสามารถรักษาดุลยภาพทางเศรษฐกิจและการเมืองไว้ได้ จึงช่วยเรียกความเชื่อมั่นของผู้บริโภคกลับคืนมา ทำให้ตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์ที่คาดว่าจะได้รับผลกระทบจากเศรษฐกิจในช่วงต้นปี จึงกลับฟื้นสภาพขึ้นในช่วงไตรมาสสุดท้าย และล่าสุดในเดือน ธ.ค.ที่ผ่านมา ตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์รวมมีการเติบโตสูงขึ้นกว่าปีก่อนหน้าถึง 127% โดยมียอดขายถึง 147,424 คัน ทั้งนี้ ฮอนด้ายังคงครองแชมป์ผู้นำตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์ในไทยอย่างต่อเนื่องเป็นปีที่ 21 นับเป็นการก้าวสู่ทศวรรษที่ 3 ของการเป็นผู้นำตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์ไทย.

Honda sees bright outlook

The outlook for the local motorcycle market looks brighter this year, according to AP Honda Co, which is entering its third decade as the market leader.

Sales director Thirapat Jiwapong said the market in 2009 finished strongly with sales of 1.54 million units, reducing the year-on-year contraction from 2008 to 10%. Honda held a 66% share.

The industry recorded overall bike sales in December of 147,424 units, up 127% from the same month in 2008, when the global financial crisis was at its lowest ebb.

Honda outperformed the overall market for the period with sales growth of 136%, helped by the launch of new automatic transmission (AT) models in the latter half of the year, giving it a 50% AT market share.

"From the last quarter of last year, the overall bike market tended to grow steadily as a result of the recovering economy which restored consumer confidence," said Mr Thirapat.

Of the 147,424 new motorcycle registrations in December, 71,790 units were family models, 68,793 were AT bikes, 3,550 units semi-sport models, 1,069 units sport models and 2,222 units offroad and other types.

Of the total bike registrations of 1.54 million units last year, family models enjoyed the highest sales of 755,599 units for a 49% share, and AT versions recorded 715,801 units for a 47% share.

Honda's sales last year totalled 1.01 million units for a 66% share. It was followed by Yamaha selling 428,774 units for a 28% share, Suzuki (63,026 units or 4%), Kawasaki (14,801 units or 1%), JRD 1,537 units, Platinum 1,059, Tiger 1,143 and other brands 11,155 units.

“จีเอ็ม” แกล้มปริ ประกาศเดินหน้าเต็มสูบเตรียมเดินหน้าพัฒนารถยนต์เอนกประสงค์รุ่นใหม่ พร้อมผุดโรงงานเครื่องยนต์ดีเซลแห่งแรกในเอเชีย หลัง หลังบรรลุขอตกลงจาก 3 แบงค์ชั้นนำของไทย

นายสตีฟ คาร์ไลส์ ประธานกรรมการ บริษัท เจนเนอรัล มอเตอร์ส (ประเทศไทย) และบริษัท เชฟโรเลต เซลส์ (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด กล่าวภายหลังจากการเซ็นสัญญาข้อตกลงการสนับสนุนด้านเงินทุนจากสามสถาบันการเงินชั้นนำของประเทศไทย พร้อมประกาศเดินหน้าสานต่อ 3โครงการสำคัญ ของจีเอ็ม และเชฟโรเลต ในประเทศไทย และภูมิภาคอาเซียน

นอกเหนือจากการสนับสนุนในด้านเม็ดเงินลงทุนในโครงการต่างๆ แล้ว สถาบันทางการเงินทั้ง 3 แห่ง ยังสนับสนุนด้านเงินทุนหมุนเวียนอีกด้วย โดย เจนเนอรัล มอเตอร์ส คอมพานี ให้การสนับสนุนเพิ่มทุนการจดทะเบียนให้เป็นจำนวน 3,890 ล้านบาท (หรือราว 118 ล้านดอลลาร์) ทำให้เงินสนับสนุนรวมทั้งสิ้นอยู่ที่ 15,000 ล้านบาท

โดยเงินลงทุนดังกล่าวจะใช้สำหรับ การพัฒนาโครงการหลักๆ คือ 1. โครงการผลิตรถเอนกประสงค์รุ่นใหม่ และโครงการก่อสร้างโรงงานผลิตเครื่องยนต์ดีเซลแห่งแรกของภูมิภาคอาเซียน ซึ่งจะเริ่มดำเนินการผลิตได้ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2554 - 2555 บนพื้นที่กว่า 440 ไร่ ของจีเอ็มที่จังหวัดระยอง โดยการก่อสร้างโรงงานได้เริ่มดำเนินการไปแล้วตั้งแต่เดือนพฤศจิกายน 2552 ที่ผ่านมา

สถาบันการเงินที่ให้การสนับสนุนเงินทุนจำนวนรวม 13,500 ล้านบาท (หรือราว 409 ล้านดอลลาร์) ได้แก่ธนาคารกรุงเทพ ธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์ และธนาคารทิสโก้ โดยมี บมจ.หลักทรัพย์บัวหลวง เป็นที่ปรึกษาและดำเนินการเพื่อขอการสนับสนุนเงินทุนในครั้งนี้

สำหรับของอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์โดยรวม ถือว่าขณะนี้มีสัญญฟื้นตัวอย่างเห็นได้ชัด บวกกับ จีเอ็ม ประเทศไทย มีความมุ่งมั่นที่จะขยายธุรกิจให้เติบโตมากขึ้นตามแผนงานตั้งแต่ปี 2553 นี้เป็นต้นไป ประกอบกบับอัตราการส่งออกที่ปรับตัวสูงขึ้นตลอดช่วงไตรมาสสุดท้ายของปี 2552 จึงส่งผลในเชิงบวกอย่างต่อเนื่องมายังปี 2553 นี้

General Motors gets $409M of loans in Thailand

BANGKOK — The Thai unit of General Motors Co. has secured $409 million of loans from local banks and a cash infusion from GM, allowing it to restart expansion plans.

The funds, which include $118 million from GM, will finance construction of a diesel engine plant in the eastern seaboard province of Rayong and production of a SUV and new pickup truck in Thailand, GM said Friday.

The Thai business was temporarily cut off from financial support when GM filed for bankruptcy protection in June last year. It now expects to carry out the expansion over 2011 and 2012.

"We are now completely self-funded in Thailand and have established relationships with three of the strongest and most important banks," Steve Carlisle, CEO of GM in Southeast Asia, said in a statement.

Thailand is a production and export base in Asia for Japanese, American and other auto companies.

GM, which makes one-ton pickup trucks and passenger cars at its existing Thai plant in Rayong, had forecast the factory's production to slump more than 60 percent in 2009 to some 40,000 vehicles.

The syndicated loans are being provided by Bangkok Bank, Siam Commercial Bank and Tisco Bank.
