I was there last night and this building is not under construction. It's clear that they are trying to finish the rear of the building at One Madison Park and that is it.

107m in New York is not that important. Nice design though. Too bad that buildings like these with a high quality of design ( designed by a good architect ) are used as fillers and won't be really visible in the skyline of a huge city like New York.

it depends where the towers are built. put them in the heart of midtown and they will not be noticed (even at a height of ~200m). but just take trump soho: very visible and 'only' ~140m tall.

EDIT: indeed, it's a cool tower. like the design!

I thought I had already seen a thread about this one. However, I like this innovative design.

Oh for crying out loud, coming on to SSC has been an infuriating experience lately, strife with pessimism (i know I'm adding to it right now) there's always something on hold, height reductions or a project being shelved, and these always happen to be the MOST interestingly designed buildings. The non-descript clutter ALWAYS gets built in the end

My first impression of the rendering is that the look of the building makes me feel uneasy, i think a residential structure should give its occupants the feeling of being safe and protected and this does not visually convey that feeling.
