Buena foto, no conozco Toquepala pero tengo varios amigos que han vivido allí luego vinieron a Tacna a estudiar secundaria y finalmente terminaron en alguna univ. de Arequipa o Lima.

Eso explica porque siempre vi cierto aprecio de ti por tacna y tambien de otros foristas arequipeños, o quizás nos vean como el hermano menor del Sur

Visité ambas hasta el año pasado, y me parecio mejor Cuajone.

Cuajone es mas pequeño que toquepla so lo esta compuesto de dos barrios villa cuajone y villa botiflaca, tiene un bello hospital y lo que me gusta es su bosque a la entrada,, pero que en la region Moquegua,

Toquepala, es mucho mas grande, tiene 14 barrios, y geografia mucho mas accidentada, claro ambos campamentos tubieron su apogeo poblacional en la decada de los 80 e inicios de los 90',toquepala tenia cuatro colegio (albarracin ,ricardo palma, el particular ramon castilla ,y el americano (el de los gringos)) y tenia vida propia debido a su legania de las ciudades (cuajone esta 45 minutos de moquegua) y toquepala a 2 horas de tacna y 1 1/2 de moquegua ; todo empezo a decaer con la flexibilizacion laboral del gobierno de fujimori (despidos masivos) y se empeoro con la entrada de los mexicanos como dueños de la compania, .. Los campamentos de ahora no son o siginifican lo mismo de lo que eran hace 20 años, cuando eran verdaderas miniciudades en enclavadas en los andes del sur. Toquepala pertnece al distrio de ilabaya , provicnia de Jorge basadre , Departamento de tacna,, anteriormente antes de la division departamental ilabaya pertencia a la provincia de Tacna directamente.
