Erection of 4 storey building and link extension and alterations to elevations to Duke House to create an education facility, Discovery School - as at 23/03/14

Follow up to post #117 dated 23/10/13 on this development

Approx 5 months on from my last post these pictures by myself Sunday 23/03/14 approx 1100 to show current state of work to the development - the opening of school now set to be happening 12 months later than originally planned

New building is as shown in posts of September and October 2013 and these pictures from 23/04/14 show current "looking to be stalled" or "progressing slowly" position of building being converted - images hosted on Photobucket

Newcastle College, Gateway Building - Former Bristol Street Motors Building And Westmorland Business Centre, Westmorland Road - Demolition of two and three storey buildings and clearance of site, 23/03/14

Follow up to my last post #144 of 14/03/14 on this project (demolition in advance of "Gateway" scheme)

9 days on these pictures by myself Sunday 23/03/14 approx 1030 -1100 to show state of well advanced work being carried out by Thompsons of Prudhoe to the buildings on Westmorland Rd - images hosted on Photobucket

Site area looks set to be "fenced in" with plywood hoardings - substantial timber posts in process of being installed which will make taking pictures of new development difficult

These pictures from various view points on Sunday morning 13/04/14 for the scheme being carried out by main contractor BAM to show progress work to scaffold and protective sheeting (now looking complete) to the Parsons Building at Newcastle College, Rye Hill Campus - all elevations now covered

Think this scheme goes on "back burner" with regards my photographs - well until sheeting starts to be removed and "new look" building reappears

Part 2 of 2

These pictures from Saturday 07/06/14 approx 1145 showing that work is now progressing to include siteworks at north side of building

Removal of plywood hoardings and replacing with mesh fence sections makes it easy to show north elevation of building that has been hidden from view (except for long shots)
