hmm, asked my friend who lives in IW phase 1 and he says that those designs for phase 3 are old and no longer the case (I also note the completion date of September 2017, which he says is now the completion date for phase 2)

Is that September 2017 for Islington Wharf Mews- the ones being fixed at the moment? That'd be getting on for 12-18 months wouldn't it? You'd be livid if you'd bought there!

This is fantastic! Very unusual sloping roofs!

Unlikely they will ever see the light of day - think they've just used the old masterplan as a base.

These builders shouted at me for taking pics, not in a mean way, it was in a friendly way. So I naturally responded by walking away and pulling down my shorts and baring my naked arse. Wasn't even on ecstasy.

The council says that a permanent marina operator will be appointed after the work has been completed, and that boat owners will be able to re-apply to moor there.

Currently, the marina is managed by developers Urban Splash.
Wonder what the this translates to. That Urban Splash have done a terrible job, and are being replaced due to shoddy workmanship?

Not sure that Urban Splash should take all the blame (if blame there be)

Lead design was by - grant associates
Engineers - Martin Stockley Associates
Client - English Partnerships and Urban Splash

That's a fair point. Poor construction and poor upkeep then. Who's in charge of upkeep? Is that Urban Splash?

It's definitely been neglected over the last year or 2. It's becoming increasingly more noticeable that the marina isn't being looked after as it should. Areas that were once ponds/part of the marina have dried up and become tatty/weedy bits of overgrown land, and the walkways are starting to really age.

Whenever i walk through the marina i can't help but feel it's an area that is very quickly deteriorating from what it was after the regeneration. That place has so much potential too. It could be so amazing with a bit of funding, and upkeep.

Is this to allow the groundworks for the site to the west of Old Mill Street?

Solid-looking hoardings have appeared around Weaver's Quay.
