I apologize for the month late reply, I haven't checked this thread.
There is a palace being reconstructed in Berlin and the back of the building has a minimalist design compared to the rest of the historic building which is styled in, I believe Baroque. One of the members had the sense to rename the minimalist building into fascist revival, comparing it to the Italian constructions in Rome of that period - the 30's, since the architect that designed this modern side is Italian himself.
Ofcourse his pearls of words doesn't change the fact the side of that building is actually minimalist. It's the Berlin City Palace, you can check their thread, although I wouldn't suggest it, dogmas and living in the past at its prime, zero space for the present over there.

You don't seem to understand that there is no problem with my question. My question does have an answer and I know someone out there knows for sure. 432 is offically 1396' tall, but the top two "floors" are empty spaces that simply make up some sort of parapet. The true roof height (which ISN'T counted in the OFFICIAL height) is clearly about 30' lower than 1,396. If you can't understand that or answer my question then please, move on.

And I did that to illustrate the problem in your question. That being that you're using various bit of data to try and arrive at a final figure that many folks would like to use for the true height of a building, namely the roof height. It illustrates the kind of endless debate we'd have as people twisted the data and calculation methods.

Instead, the architectural top is a no-brainer.

No problem with your question? And yet here you are nearly two years after you asked it still supposing, "someone out there knows for sure."

In all that time you haven't bothered to email or otherwise contact the construction company, the architectural firm, or some other authoritative source to have you question definitively answered? Instead you spend time arrogantly and fatuously telling me it might be time to "move on."

Perhaps you should take your own advice.

It is none of your concern as to why I came back two years later. If you must know, I had forgotten I even had a skyscrapercity account.
For your information, I do take my own advice, thank you for the suggestion. Just not in this case, I simply want to know an answer to a question.
Also, I typically find answers on this site without having to message any firm or source (because most of the time they don't reply).
Finally, if you do not have the answer, leave me alone.

It sure as hell is my concern if you choose to engage me in conversation, critique my feedback and arrogantly tell me to move on. Trying taking some responsibility for what you say.

Again, in two years nobody has seen fit to provide you with an answer. That's a clue.

Clearly you are offended that you were told by a kid to move on. I take responsibility for ever responding to you in the first place. Also, I'm sorry to say that you are wrong. It is indeed none of your concern because this conversation between you and I is over. Thank you!

we can not do more basic in terms of architecture, this tower is a simple box 432 meters with a flat roof, windows all identical, a large pylon that far exceeds all others but in terms of beauty does not bring nothing in the city. the interior is luxurious and gives it its prestige but without that it is what is done poorer in architecture. the chrysler building or the empire state building have much more class than this box. even new projects like the new jean tower brings more than just this box

This is a pitifully wrong appraisal of this stunning building.

I. I wonder how he walked with that?
II. Can we all show appreciation for the guy taking the photo?
