A prime example of a space constricted interchange is the Faisal/Jinnah Avenue multi-level interchange. High speed throughput on the main carriageways (flyover and underpass) and snail pace on the ramps (roundabout with a signal).
I guess the N-5/Hayatabad interchange in Peshawar could be an alternate approach. But that's a special case, crafted for the needs of that particular area. That's why it lacks, the usual symmetric appearance.
