JICA soil testing inside Meralco compound. This also means that Meralco has allowed the subway to pass through their property.

Politics or not, the decision to not put a station on Araneta Coliseum is a wasted opportunity. Everywhere I've been, the stadiums are just beside mass transport

Sana LRTA, at palitan ang pangalan MRT- Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Manila o di kaya hiwalay, Manila Subway Co.

^^ Rail corporations in this country will be organized.

The likes of LRTA, MRTC and NorthRail will be restructured soon and be replaced by Luzon Railway Corporation (LRC).

Similarly, Visayas Railway Corporation (VRC) and Mindanao Railway Corporation (MRC) will be set up.

All these corporations that will handle the operations and maintenance of railways on respective region will be under the new Philippine National Railway Authority (PNRA), the post restructured entity of the current Philippine National Railway (PNR).

I don't think kaya ng stations/lines na sinasabi mo ang volume ng Araneta Coliseum full-blast (sabay-sabay lalabas). Kinakaya lang ngayon kasi people use cars.

The line could have veered a little to the West pero they chose Katipunan. Given na pwede iconnect with the Katipunan station of LRT2, pero that could've been done with the Cubao LRT-2 station as well.

'Bat kailangan sa Coliseum mismo ang station? Anong sense nun?'
-> Idk try and ask the planners of TD Garden why they made such a nonsensical decision??

What?

Anonas is the nearest station (more or less 1 kilometer from Araneta) but there is LRT and MRT to directly serve Cubao area.

What do you mean?

Again, all current government rail corporations will be restructured.

The future Luzon Railways Corporation (LRC) will handle ALL train operations and maintenance in Luzon.

It doesn't make sense government having each entity for different lines. For what!???

Mega Manila Subway set for December groundbreaking

Quote:
MANILA - The Mega Manila Subway is set for groundbreaking in December, Transport Secretary Arthur Tugade said Wednesday.

Construction was also set for 2019, ahead of its initial 2020 timeline, Tugade said in a press briefing. The loan agreement for the project was signed in March.

The first 3 stations will be partially operational by 2022, according to the DOTr.
