MTLskyline - ST. LAMBERT, QC

Voici un collection de photos que j'ai pris dans la ville de Saint-Lambert aujourd'hui. Saint-Lambert est une quartier d'age similaire que Longueuil, mais de caractère completement différente.

Here is a collection of photos that I took in the city of St. Lambert today. St. Lambert is of a similar age to Longueuil, but has a completely different character.

My old high school

Boulevard Desaulniers

Mormon church

L'édifice Soucie

Centre-ville de St-Lambert

L'écluse de Saint-Lambert et le Pont Victoria/The St. Lambert Locks and the Victoria Bridge

Selon moi, Saint-Lambert a assez de densité pour accueillir le métro.

Waterman Lofts

St. Lambert style density

Rue Lorne

Les maires de Saint-Lambert

Nice wall

Avenue Argyle

Lone tree

Hôtel de Ville/City Hall

Argyle-Victoria intersection

Downtown St. Lambert

Rue Victoria

BMO

"Button" Park and Anglican church

Masonic Temple

Dans la 20ième siècle, Saint-Lambert a été développé à cause des trains.

Selon moi, le Gare de Saint-Lambert est pathétique considérant son popularité.

St. Lambert Station (There used to be a nicer one here, but it burnt down)

Un Résidence de personnes agées parmi plusieurs à Saint-Lambert.

Edison Street

Railway overpasses such as this one are common in Saint-Lambert

Funky mural

Le Haut Saint-Lambert

LeMoyne (un thread dans le futur?)

LeMoyne (a future thread?)

Great Pics Dude.

I lived on Victoria for 3 years before moving to Candiac.

St-Lambert is a great city, although there are alot of old people there!

Thanks for the comments!

@Ashok - Montreal needs more murals. This one and that one of the metro car downtown are the two best I've seen so far.

@Habsfan: St. Lambert is a nice place because of its good layout (tons of trees, grid pattern, sidewalks on every street, central location, etc.)
However you're right on the money about the ton of seniors who reside here. Of my neighbours, about 70% of them are over 60. The median age of the population is 48, and it isn't getting any younger. They love to complain about everything, LMAO..

I remember when I used to go to Champlain COllege. My first year i used to take the bus. From Brossard there was teh 14, which was an express Bus from Brossard to Longueuil, but it only ran during rush hour. SO when ever i started or finished my classes in between, i'd have to take either the 13 or the 15 which would ddrive through St-Lambert, and I remember telling myself that 75% of the city population must have been senior citizens. It was nuts!

Nice pictures. It looks like a typical suburban town, but that it okay. It's nice to see a photo thread in here, especially of a more obscure place.
