I guess they are going to dig 2 tunnels for each line for a total of 4 tunnels, isn't it ? So the pictures above show only the first tunnel, right ?

Will the parallel tunnels have openings to connect the two... What I mean is, will the up tunnel have any space for track changing to the down tunnel in case of emergency?

Why are they tunneling from city end when station tenders haven't even been issued? Had they started from the stadium, they could open in stages.

Namma Metro Travel Cards Online

Online portal to purchase Metro Card is live.
Click on banner on the BMRC website home page or go direct to http://smartcard.bmrc.co.in/

Not the most intuitive interface, but it works.

It will cost you Rs. 120/- (for zero stored value) as opposed to Rs. 50 if you buy it offline. 20 bucks is the shipping cost, and the remaining 50 bucks is the premium for being able to choose your card number.

They cant open lines just like that, what about safety certification, they can't keep coming for half km sections right?

MG Road Stn looks great, with the cladded skywalk.

Baiyyapanahalli looks old-fashioned but somehow I like the look of it.

Thanks i_win.

On registration you get the user ID; the password is sent by SMS. You then need to login and click on the 'Purchase' button. This will enable you to choose your card number. Online card purchase allows you to call the helpline and block the card if it is lost/stolen. The card is sent by courier and has zero balance, can be topped up at Airtel retail outlets, SBI ATMs, through SBI net banking, at Namma metro stations etc.

Its still a 'by 25th' and not 'on 25th' so expect more slips!

That's actually a diplomatic way to say it. One may be ultra-confident but until they get the certification in hand, they can't really put a solid date. And then Madam is expected to be back anytime, so it'll also depend on her availability. Sardar alone can't do anything when madam is around.
