Quite a nice refurb. I know absolutely nothing about Redditch other than it has a nice Primark apparently, but these look great.

Unless you have a satnav redditch just looks the same everywhere

Dual carriageways and islands between huge housing estates and industrial estates

The shopping centres having quite an extensive refurbishment at the moment too, not a bad retail offering

Train line is a single track and the terminus for the cross city line, a pull in bay is being built to allow extra trains so more services from redditch rather than terminating at longbridge

This is complete now. There are.still some some single track sections in places but the line has been doubled up enough through Aldridge to have an increase to a 3tph service between Redditch and New St (was 2tph)

I've always wondered if they'd look to extending the line beyond redditch as the terminus

Just been up Kiddy for an interview. The town centre hasn't got much going for it but it's surrounded by great industrial buildings. I think the focus should be on demolishing the 60s shopping centres and expanding into these buildings instead as the high street is very narrow.

On the plus side, the newer developments ate great (Marks to the colleges). That is the nicest Debenhams I have ever seen both inside and out and it gives me some hope for the fit-out of Debenhams Wolverhampton.

Stourport seems to have a lot going on. The industrial park between the two places gas a few things going up too - a drive thru Starbucks, standalone Gregg's restaurant, and an Aldi.

Kidderminster Harriers are going to leave their home of 130 years to build a new stadium.

Not knowing Kidderminster that we'll I wonder how far out of town it is. I thought the quote about not being able to be in the heart of the community because they were surrounded by housing quite funny.

Zortech Avenue - technically actually in Stourport not Kidderminster. A shame for anyone traveling by train!

Areley Kings football club is next door.

That's a shame, I'm not a fan of out of town stadiums to be honest and I always quite liked Aggborough's location, almost on cliffs overlooking the town.

I think they could actually put a station in on the SVR for the new stadium, if/when they run normal services on it. Would serve the business parks there too (that's where my interview wor).

Kidderminster Riverside was completed, by the way. I don't remember seeing it while I was there.

Angel Place/ Friary Walk Worcester Redevelopment

What're your opinions on this proposed redevelopment?

http://www.worcesternews.co.uk/news/...n_green_light/

I think that if this gets the go ahead, Worcester's city centre could look absolutely stunning, given the recent/near completion of Cathedral Plaza.

I'm honestly surprised this proposal has slipped under the radar on this forum...
