"Addis will be the new Dubai of Africa, with eye catching architectural buildings" ... more like eye sore buildings unless we start improving on both design and construction

No Yedeha seffer photo. I am poor but I hate poor people. So does God. If God loved diha sewoch, he would have given them a million buck each.

There is no God. Ethiopians have been praying to Allah, Yawheh and Egziabher since just about everyone and they're still at square one. The delusion needs to be left behind.

With that said, 'hate' is a strong word. I do feel irritated at the mentality in Ethiopia to exalt being poor. People not only have no problem with being poor, but even those who aren't want to be called poor. It's the influence of religion, I think. "Miskin deha" is almost a compliment there, eliciting all sorts of empathy and support. People are in a hurry to tell you about how poor they are.

I sometimes envy the Asian aversion to poverty. They have the exact opposite mentality of breaking out in hives at being thought poor. That's what drives their ambition and work ethic.

It was a lame humor I don't really hate diha .

As for God, he does exist but it doesn't begin to reveal to us until our bank accounts have some serious 0 digits in them.It has to be. How else can you explain the conviction when poor become suddenly rich ( I am thinking of athletes and artists obsession with God.)

Ahbecede, To be honest poverty doesn't actually exist, it is just a perception , I mean it only exist in our mind, so it is a state of mind, if it truly exist, tell me how much money does one need to be rich or how much money one needs to lack in order to be poor.

If you feel something it is no longer held with in the boundaries of perception, (hunger for example). If you find it difficult to acuire basic neccecities like food shelter and clothing you are poor.
I think what you meant to say is "poverty is relative", that would be an accurate statement as the saying goes 50 lomi le and sew sekmu le hamsa sew getu,
