Dear Roberto, the landscape of the park looks far more European than the vegetation of the city of Mexico. I suppose it is located at a higher elevation. You wrote it is located very near the city, but it seems so remote, so peaceful!

Glad we agree about Koons. Love those Marín wings and your kite shots. I think I see what you mean about "true nature."

I'd say that that's one of the constant misconceptions about México (mainly created by media showing that we are just beaches or either a desert or jungle), actually around 32% of the territory belong to forests which considering the size of the country it's a large portion and also México is one of the few countries in the world considered as biodiverse so i guess we're lucky to have a little bit of everything.

No. 6 is a superb pic of the Soumaya Museum.

#3864: I could hardly imagine a bigger contrast as the one between the

Great J. Marin sculpture and beautiful wild forest in the La Marquesa National Park!
The white poppy, the halo (!), the little girl riding a pony... - so many favourites!
I'm glad you like so many pictures, dear Silvia. Thank you very much!

I could mention a lot of fabulous registers you gifted us, but will comment about your trips out of the capital, to show the interesting countryside not far from the metropolis: in Brazil we have few information about this part of Mexico, and many people here has a wrong idea about arid plains being the most common landscape in your country (blame it on the movies...). It was a pleasure for me to see the beautiful and gentlle land of your countryside

Other comment I need to do: the way people try to communicate and protect all expression of life in this planet is a testimony of civilized development, and to see the free dog in Teotihuacan, the birds being recovered in Val' Quirico (my father loved owls all his life ), the dogs in town and the healthy horses in the country gave me many reasons to find grateful feelings about mexicans there
First of all, thank you very much for taking the time to see my previous updates, dear Eduardo!
We know that Mexico is generally associated with arid or tropical landscaping; But we have almost all the ecosystems in the country.

Thank you for your kind comment. dear Christi!
It is true that La Marquesa is at a height of 3050 meters above sea level while Mexico City is at 2250 meters. In fact, it is not much height difference.
La Marquesa and the Desert of the Lions (in Mexico City) share the same mountain range.

Thank you dear Friend.
It is true that the way in which the Muxes conceive life and personal relationships is very interesting and seems less complicated than ours.

Amazing, to have an art gallery inside a subway station! And so well lit, too. There seems to be a lot of trust of the public in Mexico City, as I'm sure that in many cities (I'll refrain from naming them), the artworks would either quickly disappear or be vandalized.

Thank you for commenting, Nick!
People generally respect art in the subway. In addition, there are several security cameras in all halls.
