Its name is "Main" (hence Frankfurts nickname Mainhattan), it feeds into the "Rhine" not far to the west of Frankfurt.

In addition, the official name of the city is "Frankfurt am Main" (Frankfurt on the Main), some might have noticed.

Frankfurt is going crazy these days, fantastic announcements this week!
A 228m, 170m and four 100m+ highrises proposed.

Frankfurt's skyline in about 5 years (well, DB Dreieck might take a little longer for completion):

The un studios is definitely the best. It will absolutely add something to the skyline. Very good news.

Max Dudler is terrible, but UN is by far the best indeed!

Keep in mind that these towers are not the final design. There will be a second design competition for the individual towers. All studios which participated in this round (in total 8) plus 10 additional ones are invited to the second round.

The other studios of the first competition were: schneider+schumacher, Christoph Mäckler Architekten, Jo. Franzke Architekten and Querkraft

All proposals of this first round will be presented to the public in May. Also the name of the project will be announced then.
