Another development built in the same style is this student housing complex in Haugesund designed by Helen og Hard and completed in 2015. It is reminiscent of traditional Norwegian wooden houses with front-facing gables that are common in Norwegian coastal cities of which Bryggen in Bergen is the most famous example of. Just a shame about the naked concrete walls though as they ruin the impression somewhat.

J.Basanaviciaus 9A, Vilnius, Lithuania (2017)
Architects: Paleko architektu studija

It uses light plaster like the surrounding classical tenements in the city, and the dark wooden facades are tied to the traditional wooden cabins of the Baltic region.
