What makes you think that I am not the one in the photos/behind the camera?what makes you think I am not connected or have no permission to use those photos? What if I have permission and the owner doesnt want to be credited?

Why are you comparing me to others as if i made a mess here. Post it if you want!

Pero history tells why, maybe since the Blumentritt bombing there has been fear of another bomb blowing up in any public place. And that I've read before about a bomb on a PAL plane that was bound for Japan from Cebu.

Nasa Korea kami dati, kahit anong train station or mall pwede kang pumasok at normal walking speed. There are security guards pero umiikot lang sila sa loob ng mga buildings at walang tagacheck ng bagahe doon. Kahit sa Incheon airport wala rin. They have no problem with bulky luggages kasi pwede mong bitbitin anywhere anyhow.

Sa SG, HK and Taipei, totally walang inspection.

Filipinos don’t understand what crime is. They thought criminals come from front door. Establishment should pay attention more on intelligence and vigilance. Inspecting bags on entrance gate won’t prevent a carefully planned crime.

Well actually nakasanayan narin naman natin.

I'm telling you, Arki students can make better designs than that. Arki students today have more vision.

People have to remember Congress was screaming "TOO EXPENSIVE!" when the location was finally resolved for this station in the early months of Digong's admin.

DOTr wanted it to be a really good interchange but Congress conducted an inquiry and DOTr was basically forced to dumb down the design to keep it within the cost that Congress is willing to spend.

I see some posters here complaining about how this station is nothing compared to NYC's grand central station and that it's not worthy of the word "grand"...

You have to remember NYC's was built by Mr. Vanderbilt - one of the richest men in world history (along with Rockefeller) - and commissioned its design to awe the world. It covers around 20 hectares of prime property in the world's financial center.

Considering our country does not have a proper interchange, this is a step forward.

If you want to point a finger, point it to the leftist congressmen who dumbed it down. Not DOTr, not the architecture students.

The word "Grand" doesn't really equate to its size or design. Will the name reduce its functionality once it operates? definitely not

As long as it will be functional and will serve its purpose, then there should be no debate regarding it's name

I have nothing against the word "Grand".

But in my opinion, they should just name it after the place where it is located to avoid confusion. A simpler name like North Ave - EDSA Common Station would do.

Parang yun sa Line 1. It is named Central pero hindi naman Central yun name ng lugar mas ok pa na Manila City Hall station.

I think Central Terminal should be renamed to Arroceros, considering Mayor Isko is planning to expand the park and making it as a major attraction. So it will be even more relevant in the near future. Renaming it also helps to promote the area too.

agree. It's not even a "terminal" per se, just one of the stations.

Or purpose. It is an interchange or common station. North Avenue Interchange or Common Station would have sufficed.

I already mentioned this on this thread that the station should be named North Avenue Common Station. It's easier to know the location.
