Gumnut is suffering from nominative determinism.

Ummmmmmmm, if your view is blocked, stand somewhere else.....

If you stood on the bridge, you’d have unobstructed views

I like his audacity, like a hen defiantly walking into a foxhouse.

Nah it's a fair point. The shorter tower will block one of the best views from Geoffrey Bolton Ave.

Modernist bricks will fit into the Bhp modernist brick like a game of tetris. Or as I like to call it reverse jenga.
It's a bit shit.

Slightly off topic...
not that it'll happen in my life time but I'd like to see tha Taylor Reverse in VicPark developed as an opposite landmark to the war memorial at kings park... It'd be nice if and when they ever develop herrison island and put in a pedestrian overpass linking Fraser point to Vic Park, that they incorporate a lookout/outlook design that recognises the war memorial. They'd have to demo tha Dept of water/environment building tho...

Nah disagree...I think this is going to be fantastic. BHP Is an abomination....that silly roof that still doesnt look resolved with the perennially half finished signs hung off it. Shame because it could've been great but just isn't.

I like the idea of this simple design on this very prominent site as will never be built out so any kind of jingoistic building could over time look really poor.

The podium reminds me of a 60's TV cabinet. Which is fine.

The dimensions of the smaller one looks like it might be referencing council house, I got that vibe for some reason.
