TALLINN | Urban Infrastructure & Public Transportation | Linnasisene infrastruktuur ja ühistransport

This is the thread to discuss anything and everything related to infrastructure and public transportation in Tallinn.


Something to start off with, fits with the topic in a way:

Tallinn has begun to develop a detailed plan for Ülemiste Public Transportation Terminal, which would include a passenger terminal for Rail Baltic, intercity bus terminal and connection with Tallinn's public transportation network (including a tram-line):

Täiesti mõttetu kurvitamine trammiga Pro Capitali pärast. Tänapäeval loeb kiirus ja sõidumugavus, selline lahendus pigem pärsib seda. Ma näen, et Pro Kapitalil on sealpool otsas veel pandus ka autodele (parkla?). Ootaks detailsemaid plaane, praegu tundub küll paras auto-bussi-trammi pudru.

Ma kaldun lihtlabase kaeva ja kata meetodi poole. Samas ma ei tea mis teed pidi trass läheb (äkki mõne maja alt?)

So what's the problem with the plans. Didn't get the Estonian ranting :p.

Also, does anyone know what happened to Kristiine public transport hub? There was some public proposals gathering a while ago, but haven't heard about it since.

In other news: I once again complained to TLT that bus schedules leave too much margin, and once again instead of doing something about the problem, they told me they will take away the driver's bonus...

Today I was again on a bus which was running 5 minutes early, but I don't dare to report it anymore :d.

Bus drivers must really hate you by now

And we were ranting over city sacrificing better and faster tram route to Ülemiste City to private interests of currently yet unbuilt shipping centre next to Peterburi tee. If you look at the map then you see that tram route has curve at tunnel entrance. Which is just plain stupidity.

Kristiine public transport hub is just idea ,nothing more. If we're lucky then we might see it built by 2030 but even that is very unlikely.

Let's hope they don't read along . Otherwise they might just let me stand in the cold next time they see me at a bus stop .

And about Ulemiste: You mean that the tramline won't go as far as Ulemiste jaam, because that would be too close to Ulemiste shopping center which is a competitor for the new shopping center?

The tramline will go on (eventually, maybe in next 5 or so years...), but for now it only make a loop next to the Ülemiste jaam.

Tallinnas hakatakse elektribussi testima.

19.-26. Veebruarini testitakse Tallinnas Poolas valmistatud LBus CS10E elektribussi.

Bussi esitlus toimub 18.Veebruaril kell 14.00 Viru Keskuse kõrval Laikmaa tn. bussipeatuses.

10-meetrine buss on Tallinna olude jaoks muidugi selgelt liiga väike, kui mõned üksikud liinid välja arvata.

Teades, et AMZ toodab sõidukeid ka sõjaväele, võib siit tulla veel huvitavaid arenguid... Huvitav on ka see, et AMZ on veendunud, et hübriidtehnoloogia on surnud- seisukoht, mida Tallinn tundub jagavat.

PS! Selle lehe tõlke põhjal oli too Solarise pakkumine täitsa täppi. AMZ palkas nimelt nende jaoks uue suunana "suurte" busside tootmise alustamiseks varem Solarises töötanud inseneri Damian Talara

Kus juures kummaline,et Solarise akudega varustatud trollid,mida ka kunagi Tallinnas tutvustati,on linna jaoks täielikult OUT.
Peaks olema ju oluliselt odavam hooldada ühe tootja sõidukeid. Eriti veel arvestades,kui palju neid meil juba olemas on. Millegipärast kahtlen sügavalt sellest,et too elektribuss on oluliselt odavam akudega trollist.

Lisaks ei tohiks olla täiesti võimatu olemasolevaid trolle ümber ehitada ja lisada neile akusid.
