No, it's 306m with antennae to 336m. Australian media outlets and Parramatta City Council don't seem to be able to understand that.

The architectural intention is that they are spires that also have antennae and lighting rods incorporated. Its all about the height.

This image from Upwards in the Ozscrapers section gives a better idea where Parramatta is relative to Sydney, as well as how dominant it will be.
More excited about this than any other project in Sydney for a long, long time.

Because there are many cbds in Sydney very similar to LA so there will always be big projects all over the city and not just the cbd

The Sydney CBD council and residents are somewhat anti development, especially large buildings.

Parramatta council want to use this building as a draw card/ new land mark to encourage economic growth and new investment.

It's basically completion between several cities, one large and several small ones with everything to gain.

Recent flythrough animation of Parramatta Square development with Aspire tower and the planned commercial towers beside it (note that the designs for the commercial towers are only an indicative concept. A design competition is due to be held later this year)

Sorry Trances, just saw your question.

Parramatta City Council has put together a plan for a Western Sydney light rail network linking Castle Hill, Bankstown, Rhodes and Macquarie Park with Parramatta. As the focal point of the Parramatta CBD, you'd expect Parramatta Square to be well serviced by the light rail network (assuming it is ever built).

This supertalls section must be an embarrassing place for anything from Australia to be sitting in

Just look at all the new stuff coming out from around the world esp. Dubai (since OZ politicians love to bag Dubai)

PARRAMATTA SQUARE STAGES 5 AND 6

The four shortlisted firms for the design of the two commercial towers (up to 220 metres and 200 metres each) have been unveiled. These are planned to sit to the east of Aspire.

A supertalls amidst lowrises? It totally dominates that area.
