2 buildings in Stoja have recently been renovated:

Before they've got these yellow and orange colours, they were in white/grey combination (as every building of this type in Pula). The good thing is that many of these 5-storey buildings are being renovated, but not every of them gets "normal" colour after renovation
But, it's not a pity to have some bright colours on small buildings (the bigger problem is to have such colours on 15+ storey buildings)

I've seen some pictures from Poland, and I agree with you...

But here in Pula the situation is not so bad because only these small buildings, which are the oldest, are being renovated. The next minus is that often the surroundings are not organized (parking places, green areas, paths...) so there is either a lawn or a gravel parking area

That's not the case with higher buildings from 70's and 80's, where the entire surrounding is purposely planned, with paths, parks, green areas, trees, parking areas which are perfectly incorporated into the environment
Few examples:

The worst thing would be changing original colours of the skyscrapers, because they are visible from distance of 10 km and represent a symbol of the city.

"papagajke", Šijana: http://www.wikimapia.org/#lat=44.877...&z=18&l=20&m=s

These 5 buildings were built in 80's, and have the most visible brutalist touch among all commies in Pula...

It's interesting that these buildings have the same design as those on Vidikovac: https://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpo...7&postcount=39

The difference is in their colour and number of floors; the highest building on Vidikovac has 16 floors, while the highest in Šijana has 10
