Or they would make them in several steps which is less acceptable but still better than a rectangle shape (Singidunum)

That´s what make X Yugo blocks the coolest ones I think. No flat roofs, no straight walls
Up here the majority of commies are "flat and straight" walls and boxes. My favourite commies are the Belgrade steps and the 80ies ones in Split.

Don't you confuse terraces with balconies
I was thinking about something similar to this one from Berlin but better without this pomo accents:

looks indeed very nice, so homogenous, way better than before. Why is that? Has there been a municipal planning?

Most likely because they have the same owner. I wish we had muncipal planning for things like that...

That's a pretty cool result after the renovation works, it looks like a brand new district.

I was askind because the pannels kinda remind me of office buildings from the '70 "LIPSK" type:

sometimes used in parts of commieblocks so it might have been original but I see it's not the case... In fact if you look closely you can see some illegal build-ups (now useless) are still there!

Wow, a whole new district. I wish they began to do the same mass-scale renovation in Russia apart of Sochi and to a lesser extent Moscow. Right now, Russian old commies continue rotting. Maybe to the run-up of the WC 2018 and general economic upswing , there will be such nice examples all over Russia. Right now I do envy Poland, but it is a good admiring envy Well done

Ursynów is nicely renovated but there are also some horrible examples closer to devastation rather than renovation:
