Commie block as a cultural monument

Belgrade Bureau for protection of cultural heritage made a proposal that Cerak neighborhood become protected area as a cultural heritage (spatial cultural-historic unit).

The main value of settlements Cerak Vinogradi the overall integration of the natural environment, the physical structure and the life in it, it is in terms of methodology, a novelty in domestic construction practice the seventies of the 20th century. Planned elements of the neighborhood, the pedestrian streets, directing residents to the common areas (park, public buildings, public spaces) have been implemented in this village on the unique way in our midst. The resort architecture is distinguished by copyright and can be compared to other historical entities in Belgrade as Kosančićev wreath and Kotež Neimara at ambient character which is the basis for his protection.
If it was accepted it would be the first of that kind to enter the list of protected sites.

Don't know if this is on topic, but in the last couple of years it became fashionable to paint murals on commieblocks (as well as some other buildings) in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.
