Could you please credit your sources? I'm interested in where you got those from.

This one is utterly amazing: http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/5083/35747570.jpg

Showing the life of the simple streetworkers and a whole different world than we find today.
Do you have more of such streetscapes?

Ok, I only took this pic in 2007 but was amazed to see these tram tracks heading for buildings that had been there a very long time........

Ithink the big pano is from 1908 due to the completed Singer Tower and the still under construction Manhattan Bridge. Really nice!

The Singer Building. 1910.

Manhattan 1915

Brooklyn Bridge 1909

Harsh life in New York, 1905. They didn't have burnt out cars back then, just dead horses.

Excavations for the Grand Central Station begin 1908.

Bananas arrive at the NYC docks, 1905 style.

Cold winter. 1905.

Warmer conditions...this time 1909.

Wow, this shot is just amazing! I love 19th century/early 20th century architecture, so this shot is fantastic. Apart from that huge block on the right, do any of these buildings still exist today?

Sure. But you can leave the [ IMG ] tags out then, so it remains as a link.
It's so annoying to have all those image quotes around SSC...
Totally spoiling fantastic threads like this one.
