Ooh!

I'm sure there are some blocks in the suburbs of Chester that are built right on the border with Wales.

Well I'm relying on everyone else at the moment as there's been a lot of interest in this thread! I don't have that many of my own because my camera isn't great but if I've got some photos that I've raided from flickr that I'll post on here unless I get sued.

Liverpool has more than you would think (4 to 6????????).
They have dropped a lot and was only photographing one coming down about 2 months ago but there are still a fair few dotted about.
There are loads out Kirkby way.
I have a book published by Liverpool City Council in the 60's called Liverpool Builds with loads of utopia photos of tower blocks. I'd scan them in but frankly cant be bothered!
(Is anyone having a deja vu?) https://skyscrapercity.com/showpost.p...0&postcount=88

I've got the whole weekend off work for once so I promise to spend some time tomorrow filling this thread full of my tower block photos - you'll be sick of the sight of Birmingham blocks by the time I've finished!

Thanks for those pics The Longford, although that first picture could have been taken in 1985.

Sure, it's hard to get hold of but it's called Memento Mori: Flats at Quarry Hill by Peter Mitchell

A few blocks from the Birmingham area at last.

Hamilton House in Smethwick - sadly due for demolition soon.

A few of its near neighbours

Hamilton House is huge! Spring Hill Library looks lonely too. The third picture shows what you would expect from the Reddicap Heath tower blocks in Sutton Coldfield if they were increased in height by a couple of floors.

Cheers for them Slimey!
