just a diagram update,
no core rise yet but floors are going well
as you can see its been 52 days since core has risen. (7 weeks)

floors have gone up about 7levels to about 45th.or about 180m as high as middle office tower.
the small core is at lev48

Looking good. Came back from another visit in Melbourne and have to say their tall ones are looking mighty impressive and so many of them. Irrelevant to this thread so I apologise but wanted to mention that in some of those new, impressive skyscrapers (such as the 'Beyonce' inspired one), 2 bedders start from under $500,000 which is amazing consider you can't even get that outside of the city here.

Oversupply. They couldn't GIVE apartments away at Docklands; a few hotel operators bough some dirt cheap and are renting them as "hotel" apartments. Stayed in one a while back, a real dog box. Glorified studios where the bedroom has no windows just a frosted sliding door separating it and the small kitchen/lounge.

These things wouldn't comply with NSW rules that state bedrooms must have a window, and units must be a minimum size.

under 500k is not good value if banks won't touch them.

so many Melb apartments are empty, bought by Asians as investments, not interested in renting them out.

COS Council has better building regulations:
Example:
1 bedroom unit = min floor space 50 m2;
2 bedroom unit = min floor space 70 m2.

Melbourne (COM) does not apply this rule.
Checkout the quality of the Aurora Building's finishes:
- No internal heating/air conditioning system.
- Second class kitchen finishes.
- Small living area.
- Poor floor material.

there are new yellow 'struts' being put in place around the new core. Looks like a few more to go but hopefully not too long now before next rise (sorry for bad photo but hard to get a closeup)

This article would suggest an April 2021 launch date for the apartments (if not the whole development).

Quote:
In 18 months, Sydney welcomes Crown Residences at One Barangaroo

Construction of Australia’s very first 6-star branded residences continues at pace, with the countdown on for the fortunate few moving in come 2021.

This month, Crown Residences at One Barangaroo installed its two infinity swimming pools on site, marking another exciting milestone for the project.

Located on the top floor of the southern end of the podium the residents pool will sit above the hotel pool, with a stunning horizon edge and beautiful views across the harbour and reaching to the Blue Mountains.

“When I first saw the site, I was amazed at the connection to the harbour and that very much influenced the design of the swimming pool, so where the people are sitting in the swimming pool, we have that horizon-edge and the harbour just flows out of that,” says Dennis Selinger, founder of St Legere, appointed to the project’s landscape design.

The two stainless steel pools were manufactured in the US as separate sections, before travelling to Australia where they were welded and set into place by crane.

On the eastern edge of the pools, the canopies are already in place, which will become the relaxing cabanas that form part of the lush Balinese resort-style facilities conceptualised by St Legere for Crown Resorts.

The tennis court is also taking shape, as are the hotel room fit outs and amenities including the 6-star spa. The next eagerly awaited feat will be the completion of the hotel’s feature grand staircase located on the podium with assembly underway.

The lift core continues to rise and is now up to level 51, and as construction workers focus their efforts on the residential floors, the topping out of the tower is expected for the first half of 2020.
