What's Coming Will Be Much Worse Than 2008

Quote:
Most investors believe that the 2008 Crisis was the worst crisis of their lifetimes. They’re mistaken… what’s coming down the pike when the Bond Bubble blows up will be many times worse than 2008.

The reason is that bonds, not stocks, represent the bedrock of the financial system. When a stock bubble bursts, investors lose money. When a sovereign bond bubble bursts, entire countries go bust (a la Greece in 2010).

On that note, I want to point out that bond yields are not just rising in the US... we're seeing them spike in Germany, Japan, and others.

what is worrisome are those tech stocks particularly social media. Over hyped and over priced ex twitter, snapchat etc

That includes Facebook. Even its CEO Mark Zuckerberg and other insiders are dumping Facebook shares:

I really dont get it on how these stocks got bumped high in value. I might be old school but the way i see it the business model is too flaky. Similarly akin to bitcoins that is totally reliant on the confidence of buyers rather than a solid performance.

I quadrupled my money in the stock market. The problem with many investors is that they do not have a system for proper selection of stocks. Many invest in stocks based on rumors (example: will NOW be the third telco player?). Many even invest in stocks of companies that are not profitable.

precisely my point.. Pumped up stock prices due to speculations instead of having the actual or near value

Kaya go with the flow na lang.
