Design meeting for 98 units near Roosevelt Station
By JOURNAL STAFF

Encore Architects will unveil early plans for a 98-unit apartment building near the future Roosevelt light rail station, at 841 N.E. 68th St.

The team filed a design packet with the city. Architects describe the proposed design as having a “clean and crisp contemporary form.”

The illustration here only offers a sense of the general shape and volume of the building, though architects propose the building have serrated bay windows that provide visual interest.

Pastakia said in a November announcement that the firm hopes to start construction in the fall of 2020, and finish in the spring of 2022.

The Roosevelt light rail station is slated to begin service in 2021.

I think the outlined tree is enough visual interest, but go right ahead with the bay windows if you think it’ll help.

So still leaving the one single family home sandwiched between two 6 story buildings? Here's hoping it gets turned into an Apodment or something like that.

Supposedly the owner of that parcel and the parcel immediately to the south on 67th have banded together and are convinced they're going to get PAID for their two parcels.

In more exciting Roosevelt news, Exxel now has a tower crane at the 65th and 15th project and the massive light rail station tower crane is going to be 100% dismantled sometime tomorrow.
