This a game changer and a trend setter.

In future, depending on the success of this project, we might see the entire Ngara area being converted to high rise apartments of this nature. I see old buildings being torn down to give way for such. This means for the first time, real neighbourhoods of inner city living is becoming a reality in Nairobi as most Nairobians leave in the suburbs.

"It is bound to change Nairobi skyline... first project of this magnitude in East and central Africa"
I love this, and of course it will be taller enough to alter the skyline +AVIC in the foreground.
Nairobi Is on the move!

Another step in the right direction for Nairobi, but does it have to look like an affordable suburban development in China?

If indeed they see it to the end, Nairobi Will have cemented its place as the highrise capital of Africa.

I also thought the same, but on seeing its an affordable housing project i didn't expect all the stuff i see in high end residential towers since it's supposed to make housing as cheap as possible with good profit margins for the investor

2720 new families moving in, in any locale would put an immense strain on the local transportation facilities. I hope they have a good plan to address this... Those bus and train projects can't come fast enough

The best thing about this is that Ederman is financing this build and will maintain it. Exciting times for Nairobi. 8 towers of 35 storeys each.

I hate that concept of gated community in the area with ugly perimeter walls. It will kill the nice culture of this area of all social classes interacting on the streets. Hope they get rid of it as the area grows.

But its nice to visualize the overpass from Accra road to Ngara with NMT facilities. By the way Edermann, Grogan road is the colonial name for Kirinyaga road.

What gated community? I see a residency with shops on street level and a huge parking lot on the middle of it but no gated community.

With such a huge number of people there should be dedicated transport for the estate to town. Otherwise the many vehicles from the apartment would be a menace to Nairobi's traffic.

Something else... with all those units full, that's another ideal location for a huge mall in future

If you look closely to the renders and seeing the tightness of the site I’m sure they’ll build bus stops within since that’s the standard of these types of housing projects.

By the way I hope they don’t turn out looking like Nyayo House with that ugly yellow color and strange design.

Nah if you've seen new york and shanghai tall buildings close to each other actually result in stronger winds between them and lower pressure since wind is compressed in between them, the effect is a strong cool breeze
