Now that's what a football stadium should look like. If only Schalke had built one like that in blue.

Wonderful stadium, this is exactly how a soccer stadium should be. I I still wonder how they managed to keep the cost as low as 130 million euros. Does anyone know how?

I particularily like this "massive" feeling the Luz projects from these pictures. It certainly contributes a lot in creating a unique atmosphere both for the players and the spectators. It must feel like a venue bigger than its 60k capacity.

[QUOTE=Kampflamm;19552421]Now that's what a football stadium should look like.[QUOTE]

Well perhaps on the continent, those designed stadiums (though succesful in having high capacities) are generally seen as bad for atmosphere and are in the minority here in the U.K. with Arsenal's new one and I suppose the New Wembley to an extent being the only two examples.

But each to their own eh.

Have to agree but isnt that to do with UEfA guidelines, same reason Arsenal have a big gap too and why at Old Trafford the first 6 rows or so have to be covered over?

FIFA:
endzones: +7,5m (Allianz is 7,5m Emirates ~10-12m. So maye also da Luz)
sides: +6m (Allianz, 6m and at the main stand 9m, Emirates is maybe 9-10m)
Old stadiums in England and Spain are closer. But if Englands gets 2018, they have ti cut the first 3-5 rows (or 6) at Old Traford. Like they did at Dortmund east stand.
new GS stadium and Emirates

Inside it is better imho then Emirates. The outside, the roof and the facilities of Emirates are nicer and better! Both very nice stadiums!
