Hello guys from Portugal,

please allow me some questions according to asylum crisis in Europe

How do you see in Portugal this crisis due to the fact that most of the "Refugees" are Economy migrants and not war-refugees.

Did Portgal receive Refugees between September 2015 until now and will they follow the instructions from Brussels if this crisis will go on, and it will go on.

There are more then 6 millione africans waiting in north africa for migrating into europe now.

I personally think that europe will make a huge change and europe will be europe anymore if this goes on and on.

How does the parliament in Lissabon think about the crisis and will they take thousands of refugees?

I'm very frighten about the future of europe, we have to defend our nations, culture, democracy and heritage.

What do you guys in Portugal think about that all?

What is your opinion about the VISEGRAD States in this cases?

Greetings from Austria.

Ronald

Portugal received 1,400 refugees from Greece and Italy until July 24

Portugal had received until Monday 1.400 refugees returned from Greece and Italy, according to the 14th report released by the European Commission.

The commitment made by Portugal is to receive 2,951 refugees from Greece and Italy under the relocation program.

According to the 14th report, the rate of replacement has continued to increase in recent months, with more than 1,000 replacements per month since November 2016, with June 2017 representing a new monthly record with more than 3,000 replacements.

On 24 July, the total number of relocations was 24,676 people (16,803 from Greece and 7,873 from Italy).

Regarding the resettlement of people living in camps outside the EU, the report states that Portugal received 76, 63 from Egypt, 12 from Turkey (under the agreement made with Ankara) and one from Morocco.

191 refugees should be reinstated in Portugal.
Deverão ser reinstalados em Portugal 191 refugiados.

In total, the EU had received until Monday 17,179 refugees transferred from other countries, for a total of 22,504.

In accordance with the action plan to support Italy and with a view to reducing migratory pressure in Libya, saving lives and creating alternatives to dangerous and irregular migration, Member States were invited to focus on the resettlement of applicants from Libya, Egypt , Niger, Ethiopia and Sudan, while continuing the resettlement of people from Turkey.

From a Portuguese perspective, just under 3000 refugees is perfectly acceptable and manageable and in my opinion these spots should be reserved for those in particularly precarious situations (eg. Christians, homosexuals, single women with children, orphans, etc). On the whole, however, the entire crisis is an absolute mess and the numbers involved could have extremely dire consequences for the future. A better solution must be found, for the sake of everyone involved.

Real war refugees: bring them all in. No quotas, no bullshit, if they are indeed fleeing from war than we (we = europeans) should help them. And when things get back to normal they would surely like to return to their homeland.

Economic migrants: up to each individual country to decide if they want/need them or not, and how many of them. Without fake moralistic arguments making any debate about this topic virtually impossible.

Now that we've established that difference, I'd like someone to explain to me why there are significantly less female refugees compared to males? Are these males just leaving their wives/mothers/sisters in the middle of a war fought, in part, by religious psychopaths and rapists, and telling them "I'm outta here to save my ass, sucks to be you"? Which would indicate that they are selfish wankers (to put it mildly). Or are most of these male refugees simply economic migrants?...

Thank you guys its also my opinion in this case so do you have the same problems with refugees like we have in austria, germany, italy?

we have to much, almost in germany is really collapsing, every day there are sexual harrassments to women

There are more and more people in our countries who wish to migrate to the VISEGRAD States, but i don't think that this will be the solutions.

We don't because there are too few in Portugal to really ever pose a problem and in fact we are benefiting from the troubles afflicting other European and Mediterranean nations. What we know is that the situation in countries being flooded by refugees is becoming tense and could lead to rather unsavoury outcomes.
