Nice little scheme

I pass down here often and sigh at the empty and run down shops and rubbish everywhere on this end of the road, within a stones throw of Hagley Road.
One building across the road as recently been refurbished.
Hopefully this scheme will help rejuvinate the remaining shops too.

They've made an effort at street level too

I too hope this Spurs on development in the area, with the students hopefully the shops will start to perform better, especially when you take into consideration the new housing around there and garden square too

That would be nice. The shops could be really nice if it had Bristol Street/Islington Row treatment. I read in the guardian how wonderful the railway on hill street is because it hasn't been gentrified. The Ivy Bush gives the Railway a run for its money and I personally wouldn't mind seeing it change a bit.

The Ivy Bush needs to be revamped and gentrified too!

Not sure who owns Ivy Bush but you ain't gonna see much action elsewhere along their. The guy that owns all them buildings is a bit of an idiot. (clearly this is my opinion)

Cheap and nasty. Should & could have been a nice road with mostly period buildings, now ruined forever by this awful development stuck in the middle of it

The buildings to the right of this development (out of shot) are disgusting.

True, this while area is in need of a bit of TLC. Currently a bit of a dead end around here.

The buildings right up to the Ivy Bush pub on the corner, and including the pub and the parade of shops on Hagley Road in this area are really poor all round. Lets down the "West End" feel to this part of the Hagley Road.
