As far as I know their demise was mainly due to the degree of corrosion in the underframes which would have been extremely difficult and expensive to deal with. I believe that the museum managed to get quite a good stock of spares when the rest of the fleet was scrapped. The one major risk will be reactivating 1007 after such a long period of inactivity. They don't like being left unused.

Does anyone know what the reason is for the recent TSR on the outbound line just before Crumpsall? been going very slowly over the new crossover for the past few days. are there problems with the newly installed track?

Its going to be an interesting sight seeing a huge T68 come out of the bushes in the middle of Heaton Park.

Due to an incident in/near Shaw this morning Trams are currently only running from Oldham Mumps-East Didsbury in both directions, nothing to or from Rochdale, apparently Beal Lane Level Crossing is shut aswell.
