Regarding the tower on former Sypholux plant site (adjacent to Electra tower).
https://en.globes.co.il/en/article-n...ion-1001313107
The tower will be 45 floors and the planning commitee will discuss it next week.

Finally- those idiots from Netivey Ayalon fixed the lane marks. Took them months to just repaint 100 meters which caused constant traffic jams.

That glass cover of the new Shalom terminal is going to be just as dirty as the old part even before the construction is finished

So, they got initial approvals for the new office tower on Sifolux‬‏ factory compound.
https://www.calcalist.co.il/real_est...777335,00.html
Check out the drivel of the approving commitee about "preserving the grand history of industry in this area".
Also check out the photo in the article showing the part of that "grand history".
The mentally inferior individual who said that, should work in sanitation deparment of the city (you know cleaning garbage on the streets) , not overseeing urban development in Tel Aviv.
It is sad indeed, that morons like this specimen, are the ones who get to decide.

I don't really mind about the historic significance of that structure or its aesthetic value,
but I'm happy they are making the investors return something to the public in a form of a public building that will serve everybody.

I am all for developers making obligations in the form of public buildings, but why preserve that garbage?
I would rather see it demolished and turned into a nice public square with some trees to provide shade, benches for people to sit and maybe an ecological pond.
I think the public would be much better served that way.

It is a building on Allenby street built in international style that was recently approved for demolition, to be replaced by two rather bland midrises.

Another update on Taas compound on Shalom road in Tel Aviv.
https://www.calcalist.co.il/real_est...777408,00.html
An international tender published by ILA, T-A city council and Israel's water authority for cleanup and removal of contaminated groundwater on the site.
The works are expected to take 1.5-2 years, after which the lands will be marketed for ~1000 residential units in several towers.

Looks like eclectic. Not the most beautiful eclectic buildings in Tel-Aviv- but much better than the boring stuff current planned to replace them.
The municipality should have approved 2 floors above the existing structures at street level, 1-2 extra floors further away from the street (so they are less visible) and 5-8 floor buildings to the back.
