Sorry for the misinformation guys.
58 could be the other tower, since we suspect both towers have shrunk.
Or it could 57 plus 1 plant level (giving 58).
So many ways to interpret floor counts.

Archi, i agree, maybe a level reduction for sure, but that doesn't necessarily mean a loss in overall metres if they have instead re-configured other levels to have larger spacing as others have alluded to etc..... Get my drift?

I asked today and that concrete culvert is a cable chamber. Maybe that is one of the reasons that there were delays, as they tried to work out how to retain it. Meanwhile, fences were down today, so I got some good close ups. The work on the eastern strip makes sense now, as they've stacked their sheds there.

From memory, Shangri-La was measured from Exhibition St entrance (leads to elevators of this tower) and Sapphire was measured from the common LaTrobe St entrance (which leads to elevators of both towers).

That was following lowest entrance rule.

Dean has a post about it somewhere in this thread.
If you need it I will find it.

Culwulla,

This is the Dean post about entrance heights: https://www.skyscrapercity.com/showp...&postcount=313

Hopefully you can get the RL heights for the amended towers (down from 62L/60L to 59L/58L). I expect a modest height reduction.

i can see the lower entry for exhibition st tower will be used but cant find actual slab for 27.78m? that would be footpath out on latrobe? which i agree with but cant see ctbuh using that. they will use 29.5m.

I agree with your assessment Culwulla after looking over the plans.

Shangri-La uses Exhibition St entrance: +25.1m
Sapphire uses plaza entrance: +29.5m

Any word about tower heights from Cox Architecture?

Previous heights were 257.04m RL (Shangri-La) and 250.004m (Sapphire). Sadly I think they will both be a little shorter.

Gets frustrating hey....
I'm not doubting your info at all Cull, just annoyed that I was given details that the the 215 and 228 were definitely above ground...

Thanks Culwulla. Most valuable information.

We can handle the truth as Jack once said.

Brutal chop, but it is what it is. Personally the skybridge looks silly now.

So either Setia is strapped for cash or those tunnels are the issue.

99% of the time numbers will be RL, sadly. Only us freaks talk above street heights.

im guessing skybridge is former height? would that go down to make towers more look like original scheme?
