This was posted before, but anyway, found them from an old book on Singapore from the 1970s...

Another big urban renewal project is for a Raffles Centre, modelled on the Rockefeller Plaza in New York, in the vicinity of Bras Basah and Stamford Roads. The project, which was temporarily shelved in 1973 due principally to shortage of skilled labour, soaring construction costs and the overloaded nature of the building industry, was revived in March 1975 and architects are now proceeding with detailed planning.

Both of them sort of fits more into the 90s era, but the current one looks more timeless.

It's interesting to see what could have been but I'm glad they went with the current design. The second pic looks like the golden mile complex.

the two smaller ones would fit the area better if they were a bit taller.

the tallest one was built after those 2. I think those 3 are still a hotel complex.
