Trinity Walk

Views from Grand Depot Road, Woolwich New Road and Brookhill Road.

And the bricks are going on. Nice bricks but there are going to be a lot of them.

Trinity Walk from Woolwich New Road:

Woolwich Central Baptist Church, to be demolished and replaced by a 14(?)-storey block of flats:

The construction site from the south:

While taking the picture above I noticed a large plot of woodland just south of Trinity Walk. It seems a forgotten area, almost invisible from the main road, with just a few small houses around Mill Lane and Brookhill Close.

Trinity Walk, the former Connaught Estate, is taking shape. Lots of brick, no surprises there. Views from different angles: Woolwich New Road, Sandy Hill Lane, Brookhill Road.

Meanwhile, the plans for the site of Woolwich Baptist Church have been revealed. The site was originally not part of the development but has been added later. No surprises there either: a new church for the Baptists and another residential building clad in yellow brick, going up to 13 storeys. More info here.

Trinity Walk, phase 1

Phase 1 of Trinity Walk is nearing completion. Phase 1 includes 13 townhouses along Brookhill Road. Eventually, around 500 apartments will be built here on the grounds of the former Connaught Estate and Woolwich Central Baptist Church. Apartments sell for between 355K and 500K. The original One Woolwich scheme adopted by Greenwich Council some years ago was to replace two more council estates in Woolwich by similar developments. If it is for the architectural quality and Trinity Walk is to be the standard, I won't regret seeing those plans cancelled.

The townhouses along Brookhill Road are almost finished. They look as exciting as the rest of the development... Further up the hill preparations for the last phase have started.

I'm not sure what do you expect from the development with that price + lotssss of affordable housing ( it add up to almost 50% of all flat ).

Trinity Walk update

Two photos of Trinity Walk. The northern part is more or less finished (apart from the Baptist Church replacement); the southern section is under construction.
