The renovations are good, the way they're implemented aren't.

The IRIB uses so incredibly outdated and dirty techniques for renovation/redevelopment that they'll all look like they did before the renovation in just a few years. Any modern country has better ways of implementing this.

When will they start privatizing stuff in Iran so perhaps some guy with a brain can take over the development?

Privatization with standards. Knowing Iranians, especially our business types, privatization would mean the same rich people now would continue to hold onto that capital.

of course, there needs to be a major overhaul in standardization and a new layout and precisely layed out system needs to be in place

Quite like it to be honest, replication of a Spanish square with the huge expanse in the middle, less is more, plus the space can be used for gatherings or markets over time.

It all comes down to taste. I like till now as well. And i have a feeling when it all will be done it will be similar to fire and water park. Ill wait till they are done.

there is more arabic signs in iran than all of saudi arabia

the place is huge

rebuilding of some buildings in the back

sadly they are adding minarets to the mosque, well if it was meant for the mosque to have minarets, it would ! mirinan be hamechi, u have industrial steel complexes then in the back u have factory made blue minarets that look like 1970s soviet rockets, they ruin EVERYTHING
